Parents Question Unaccredited KCPS Again

Parents Question Unaccredited Kansas City Public Schools

Yesterday Missouri education officials called on the KCPS to do more to earn back accreditation . . . Apparently, doing a touchdown dance and declaring victory well in advance of game day wasn't enough.

KSHB: "Now that the Missouri Board of Education has announced they will not give Kansas City Public Schools provisional accreditation, some parents fear for their child’s future."

Luckily, TKC is here to calm so many Kansas City worries about local education and remind everybody that we BROKE NEWS OF A RATHER EMBARRASSING KCPS PAMPHLET that addresses the topic.

At the very least it will make decent reading material while waiting to pick up another shift at the last remaining box stores . . .

  1. Remember when they threw a party and gave each other bro-hugs because they cheated their way to a 70 or some BS on the state tests (still far short of even provisional).

    That shit was hilarious.

I am shocked that since KCPSD is now completely unaccredited that wasn't enough to save some of the Catholic schools in the area.

I guess spending even a tiny bit on education was asking far too much of them.

  3. Does anyone know what time the candlelight vigil for KCPS starts tonight?

  5. Kansas City! Where we continue to pay people who ruined a school district and wasted millions in tax dollars.

  7. just give the super a 50% raise and he will work on it for another year or so 200,000 a year grand is not enough

  8. 12:59 I totally agreed with you a few years ago, but now am starting to see that moving quickly enough is part of doing the right thing. It is an emergency. It's like if we had a really great fire truck that never made it to the fire in time to get everyone out. It needs to be fixed by people who know what they're doing.

  9. Make it better by getting the hell out of here. Kansas City is dead.

  10. @9:13 The test scores didn't jump enough to accuse the KCPS of cheating. We had close to 70 points before the MAP results. The MAP results only gave us 13 points which was hardly a stellar performance. Moving from the 20's to 83 is worth celebrating, but unfortunately not good enough to keeping Deseg. Part II from happening next year.
