Kansas City Government Shutdown Facts

Kansas City mainstream media hype is creating a lot of hype about the upcoming government shutdown BUT BEHIND THE SCENES we have the scoop from more than a few Federal employees who read this blog.

On Friday a gathering of Federal employees were informed that the WOULD NOT BE FURLOUGHED THIS WEEK because their jobs were deeded ESSENTIAL and too important to take a break . . . There was AN AUDIBLE GROAN FROM THE CROWD OF WORKERS WHO WOULD HAVE LIKED THE BREAK!!! See . . . What mainstream media doesn't report is that Fed Employees furloughed will be without play if the government shuts down BUT IN ALMOST EVERY INSTANCE WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE . . . THEY GO BACK AND MAKE UP THE SALARY HIT . . . So, like it or not, this GOP vs. Prez Obama showdown is mostly for show when it comes to real world consequences.

1. The Federal Government Is Kansas City's #1 Employer - THEY are not going anywhere any time soon and both Conservatives and Liberals alike have their livelihood tied to this institution.

2. Government Shutdowns happen ALL THE TIME nowadays in the U.S. - Most people don't notice as long as it's someone else taking the benefit cut.

3. The Size Of Government has INCREASED under both Republican and Democratic Party leadership - Small government is myth and something people only desire at a Rand Paul rally and NOT when they're in search of more bennies.

To wit . . . Kansas City might fear the Fed Government shutdown but that's only because they're tragically misinformed by mainstream media.
