Now that the dust has settled and Miley Cyrus is finished making everyone uncomfortable, a lingering question remains:
WILL COUNCIL DUDE BROOKS EVER HAVE TO ANSWER FOR THE SEXTING SCANDAL AND ALLEGATIONS THAT HE WAS BLACKMAILED?!?!?
So far, the Council dude has submitted to NOTHING but elevator interviews and Mayor and Council have yet to press the issue.
AND SO MAYOR AND COUNCIL CONTINUE TO AVOID ANY KIND OF ACCOUNTABILITY AMID ALLEGATIONS OF BLACKMAIL AND WHEN THE SEXTING OF ONE OF THEIR COLLEAGUES IS ON DISPLAY!!!
This fact of life is important to remember the next time somebody from City Hall dares to talk about "transparency" or other election time buzzwords.

JOURNALIST DARREN SMITH HAS OFFERED AN OPEN INVITATION TO COUNCILMAN BROOKS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT ALLEGATIONS!!!
It's gospel radio so it wouldn't be that far of a reach for the Council dude.
This week Darren Smith hosted far more accommodating and accountable community leaders: "Hot Topics w/Darren Smith" 8/26/2013 w/Brandon Ellington & Michael Watson"
We'll wait to hear if there's any reply from Councilman Brooks . . . But in the meantime Kansas City is once again paying the salary of a politico who pretty much refuses to answer any uncomfortable questions.

However in such let the church deal with "Pastor" Brooks as such. But as a taxpayer there is a responsibility to "Councilman"Brooks behavior within his ethical and civil duties as a sworn elected government official. In his position he was elected to serve the people. So as such there are prerequisites of his ethical behavior to behave in a professional manner. Also in which a government phone was used to perform acts that donot align with his elected position." WE"The People have a RIGHT to ask and out of respect of his position Councilman Brooks has a sworn obligation to answer!

Until the matter of the $15k is cleared up, this is a very relevant story and Councilman Brooks owes the public some answers. I hope TKC stays on it.
