TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CITY HALL FEARS UPCOMING MISSOURI AUDIT OF KANSAS CITY WATER DEPT.!!!

Yet another troubled Kansas City institution seems ready to go under amid the prospect of increased scrutiny.
To wit . . .
THE MOST KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS CONFIRM CITY HALL FEAR OF AN UPCOMING MISSOURI AUDIT OF KANSAS CITY'S WATER DEPARTMENT!!!
A very CONNECTED, RESPECTED AND KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDER offered perspective on the upcoming audit . . .
"It's no secret that we've been trying to get an audit of the Water Department done for quite some time. City Hall lobbyists and Mayor Sly James have begged and pleaded to hold off on the audit but now it's something that needs to happen."
What was the tipping point that caused the change in direction???
This isn't a brag at all . . . But word from AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS regarding a sketchy $12 million dollar customer service request provided evidence that Kansas City's Water Department is out of control.
"The $12 Million figure is a joke and anyone even remotely connected to Kansas City politics realizes that the money is going to be secretly siphoned to other places. The fact that there's an ordinances that signals a multimillion dollar shell game is reason enough to call for an audit."
Furthermore . . .

Let's not forget that KCTV5's Eric Chaloux has been doing some KICK-ASS REPORTING on the topic of Kansas City Water Department woes that include scary zombie water bills.
The AWESOME KANSAS CITY INSIDER offers one more perspective and a bit of a timeline . . .
"This is something we need to make happen BEFORE that $12 million is approved. We need to get an audit and find out what's really going on in Kansas City's Water Department."
Remember that this Water Department hot mess has floated to the surface in the aftermath of a major tax increase from Mayor Sly James that promises "reform & repair" of Kansas City infrastructure. Furthermore, this upcoming Missouri State Audit provides yet another talking point in a flood of criticism focused on City Hall mismanagement which argues against local control.
Developing . . .
The audit should have taken place back when they found water department employees sleeping on the job. Don't forget that one TKC.

The new consultants have already arrived at Water Dept headquarters and the ordinance hasn't even been approved. The council person ramming this rip off through should be ashamed of herself.
ReplyDeleteAs a taxpayer I furious and I will be contacting Tom schweich personally
ReplyDeleteAfter the state audit of the Kansas City water department, the state should audit Belton Missouri. Belton borders on blatant and in your face corrupt politics with millions being misspent. The attorney general should have a field day.
ReplyDeletelol your insider is an idiot
ReplyDeleteThey should also fear being walked out of City Hall in shackles and handcuffs; The lawyer Mayor included.
ReplyDeleteThey'll never figure out where all the money went. I'll get away with all the corruption and abusive politics I want because I am the Mayor in charge after Katrina. I'm a hero!
ReplyDeleteAn audit of the Museum's tax money being spent by Union Station is also being strongly resisted.... methinks there must be something to hide in both cases...
ReplyDeletewhy dont they use that 12 million to spend on the upgrade of water and sewer lines so the older citizens dont have those big rate increases.
ReplyDeleteNever fear! The complacent dumb asses of KC will sit on their fat arses and watch tis fly right over their collective heads.....as usual.
ReplyDeleteFire Terry Leeds. Fire Troy Schulte.
ReplyDeleteGo for it, state of Missouri. I would love to see some freaking perp walks!
ReplyDeleteI liked idea of contacting the state auditor so that is what I did.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if they get eneough complaints they will look into all of these "emergency" requests for $$$$$ with out bids or accountability.

If all that gets investigated is this 12 million city hall
ReplyDeletewill be getting a hell of a deal.
Maybe we need to get rid of some of these council people? Don't need an audit to tell us that they're no good.
ReplyDeleteSo who on the council is best friends with or banging the consultant(s)? Or, someone's relative needs a job. That's how deals are done in KC - right?
ReplyDeleteChicago firm? We have two major engineering firms right in KC that hire locally. What the hell is the Council thinking? Things sure have come unraveled under Sly's watch!
ReplyDeleteI've emailed the auditor also. This is THEFT and we ALL should be outraged!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking too small. I've wanted to see the school district broken up for years ... Maybe the city needs the same treatment.
ReplyDeleteGo there sometime and walk around the place.
ReplyDeleteI did some work there too.
It reeks of money being spent on total bullshit.
I worked there to hang some big TVs for some reason over a bunch of desks.
Hundreds of pissed off black people. Pissed of at what I don't know. What fuckin gravy.
Cindy, you need to start caring about your job again.
ReplyDeleteThats pretty freaking funny....hundreds of pissed off black people for unknown reasons....lmao!!!!
ReplyDeleteFire Sly!
ReplyDeleteFollow the money!
ReplyDeleteAudit the whole fucking department. What is keeping the state from doing this?
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Time to clean house. Sly is making a mess of KC.
