The TKC Saturday Night Playlist: No Political Leadership Amid Kansas City Bus Violence Spike And Ongoing Murder Rate Crisis!!!

Here's the obvious Kansas City observation for tonight . . .
KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS LIKE TKC SHOULD STOP EXPECTING POLITICOS TO HELP STOP OUR MURDER RATE CRISIS OR SOLVE BUS SAFETY CONCERNS!!!
They simply haven't helped and really seem to be making the problem worse . . .
Examples:
- This week Mayor Sly and City Council moved forward with gun control efforts in a mistaken play to chip away at the 2nd Amendment instead of really address crime.
- Recently, amid the Plaza flash mob curfew . . . Council Dude Jermaine Reed was more concerned about racial profiling . . . Which only further complicated the already tense situation.
- By and large Kansas City politicos would rather court the business elite than deal with neighborhood concerns.
- One more . . . Council Members Jan Marcason and Jim Glover have been virtually silent on local violence and crime despite a violent Summer in their Districts.
For these reasons and so many more . . .
Kansas City residents should realize that they're just not going to get any help in the fight against crime.
Sadly, what has happened in the meantime is that groups like the "Peacekeepers" have sprung up to attempt to keep the buses safe. Their solution is unworkable but reflects the desperation of locals for leadership amid another violent Summer. Sadly, as election season approaches, very few politicos are willing to focus on this longstanding and complex violent crime issue that remains the chief detriment to real progress for Kansas City.
And all of this inspires tonight's playlist.
As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.
too preachy. More chix please.
ReplyDeleteNo the leaders of the people still to busy trying to lynch Zimmerman. That gets them the headlines they want.
ReplyDeleteHow can anyone take the so-called black leaders and media serious as they complain about inequality and injustice for blacks, when they are silent about the acts of violence committed by blacks and black-on-black crime? As a matter of fact if blacks are Americans why do they need their own leaders?
ReplyDeleteWe all hate the white people who did this.
ReplyDeleteThis is not a joke, if u cant see how SLAVERY caused this, then u r stupid.
HERE!!! IS THE TRUTH ABOUT SLAVERY!!
ReplyDeleteDON'T BE AFRAID, PLEASE FOR CHRISSAKES READ THE TRUTH!!

Tony, gott tell ya, thank Jesus the criminal fucks keep killing themselves.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, u act like the fuckin cretin fucks would bring the solution to cold fusion or cancer.
Fuck u Tony.
Thank god, thank u jesus, thank u for killing these fucktard black killers.
May god in heaven, see, smell, feel the horror of Detroit and stop the madness.
I'm with you Earl. The faster these worthless fucks kill each other the sooner our streets will be safe. As long as its these worthless thugs dying a murder rate of 1,000 is too low. Glorify that in your fucking music, nigga.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the guy who always says: "KC = Detroit?"
ReplyDeleteBecause that is what's happening right now.
You IDIOTS complain about black leaders.
ReplyDeleteDo you ever realize that the white leaders in KCMO are worthless too?
So much for your master race.
Real White leaders all moved out
ReplyDeleteWhen your public buses/transportation, and your public schools are not safe....
ReplyDeleteYou: A, raise $100m in new taxes for just two miles of street car
Or: B, hire an out of town business to tell you how to run your water department.
Oh: C, forgot, redo the airport when the people want it left alone.
If they cant keep their buses safe, what is going to stop that from happening on the toy train?
The so called "leaders" in KC are all people who just use their position to rub elbows with rich people. They could give a damn about the poor and middle class.
ReplyDeleteWhy arent more people in tune with what is going on in KC?
ReplyDeleteIn a strange twist of reality Kansas City is led by people who can actually "fool all the people all of the time".
ReplyDeleteAlot of energy from influential people from the crime ridden urban core to the hollowed halls and other business leaders is expended in vast quanities to ensure all of the people are fooled all of the time.
No one has power to stop the insanity and dysfunction of KC. If you have eyes to see what is happening in KC then your only option is to move out.
