MORE KANSAS CITY PEDESTRIAN PERIL!!!

The latest example that Kansas City streets aren't safe . . . For a stroll or otherwise . . .

KMBC: Police said a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car Tuesday evening.

Newspaper: Pedestrian struck in east KC had no ID

KCTV5: Pedestrian suffers critical injuries after being hit by vehicle

Sadly, despite so many promises from politicos and cheerleaders . . . The Toy Train Streetcar won't make commuting any safer in Kansas City.

  2. Commuting safer? No question that toy train tracks pose serious danger to bicyclist. The Arizona Daily Star’s transportation reporter writes that a woman who crashed her bike on streetcar tracks has filed a $3 million claim against City and transportation authority.

  3. Drive along Troost, Paseo or Prospect any time of day and you will see people waiting for the bus jumping out into the street looking for the bus. Also, if you drive on Wornall Rd in front of SW High school those kids jump out right in front of cars just for fun.

  4. No ID means wanted by the law or INS

  5. Dark clothes, dark skin, dark street. Middle of road. Homeless don't usually have ID, either.
