KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE TOP 15 RANKING!!!

A rather KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTER sent a recent message about this ranking . . .

The 15 US Cities With The Most Murders Last Year - #14 Kansas City, MO

Now what's important is the perspective provided . . .

"Kind of a mixed bag. The good news is that KCMO missed the top 10. The bad news is the other 14 cities have a larger populations"

Even worse, Kansas City's homicide pace is quickening at 92 murders so far compared with 89 at this time last year.

  1. Obviously the East Side doesn't understand what's at stake here: prestige. This needs to be posted on phone polls in the 'hood so the wanna-bes can step up their game.

    Next year - Top 10, ba-by!

  2. We need to get our top 10 ranking back. Crossroads & Westside have been stepping up to the plate recently.

  3. The murder rate is the one sure-fire way to keep NIGGERS in check. Just let them kill each other off. Just think of the number of NIGGERS that are gone from KC over the last say, five years. It's quite a crowd!

  4. Just another one of KC's problems that the street car will fix.

    Watch out!

  5. Tony -

Kansas City is actually number 6 among these cities if you look at the murder rate versus absolute number of murders.

Absolute numbers basically just tells you how big the city is, not how violent. So big cities like LA, Phoenix and Houston which actually have very low murder rates end up high on the list just because of their size. New York, which ranks first on this list, actually has the lowest murder rate of each of these cities.

Here are these same cities ranked by murder rate (murders per 100,000 people):

    1. New Orleans 57.6
    2. Detroit 48.2
    3. St. Louis 35.3
    4. Baltimore 31.3
    5. Oakland 26.3
    6. Kansas City 23.4
    7. Philadelphia 21.2
    8. Memphis 17.9
    9. D.C. 17.5
    10. Chicago 15.9
    11. Dallas 10.9
    12. Houston 9.2
    13. Phoenix 7.9
    14. Los Angeles 7.7
    15. New York 6.3

These rates are for the cities themselves, not the metropolitan area.

  6. But in the all important category of red light running where do we stand?

  7. Good info Jack Smith!

  8. If we had effective City Planners and a support staff for them maybe we would have such a high murder rate. Effective City planning translates into job, effective use of resources and much more. An effective City Manager which would require high performce from City workers would also help. Nevermined me, though.

  9. The thugs have a better ranking than the Royals or the Chiefs. How about changing one of the teams name to the Kansas City Thugs and the other to the Kansas City Killers. Might help their game.

  10. Okay, that's f'ed up if you think about it that way.

Dear Mr. Jack Smith: Great set of statistics!! Yes, KCMO has a very high homicide rate--and at 92 this year we are three ahead of where we were last year. Meanwhile, in DC they are at 71 homicides--vs. 94 at this time last year. Take care and thanks again. Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans

  12. These murders are happening among friends, lovers relatives and neighbors. Cut off the crack and gin. Instead of creating non smoking zones make non liquor and drug zones instead of selectively enforcing it right into the core areas where the problems grow. Quit studying stop signs and start studying the behavior and patterns that are leading to it. It is not like the murderers are being committed by career criminals.

  13. Shame on the Mayor. He sold us out.

  14. Damn, Oakland beats us again!

  15. And there are fools in city hall who think a toy train will make Kansas City Portland. The thugs will like the toy train because it will be easier to rob the stupid white people who ride it. Kansas City will never be Portland but it will be Detroit.

  17. What do the cities on the list have in common? Large percentages of black people. I bet black people account for at least 85% of the murders in these cities.

  18. Thanks God KC is losing population

  19. Kc is not losing population. You need to do a little reading.

  20. It starts from home. Too many children lack the discipline needed to be productive members of society. They are abusive towards everyone. Alcohol, drugs play a part in this along with parents being unable to enforce their children by a threat of child abuse. There certainly is a difference in correcting & beating your children. Take a look at yourselves in the mirror and change yourself to be a better role model, not only for your family, but in our community.
