Watch "Homeland" On KCPT Tonight!!!

Our local public station is airing a rather gully immigration special focused on the Midwest this evening . . .

Special note . . . The PBS documentary profiles Kansas City's Westside CAN Center. Remember that we've debated this subject earlier this year.

Check the PBS website for even more info on the program.

  1. The story of the WestCAN Center is of a great success of community policing and a couple of really dedicated officers and the CAN Center director. It's too bad that the concept is given only lip service and very little support from either the police board, the KCPD, or the city.
Here's a very effective and sustainable approach to reducing crime and violence right in our community and we still travel the country looking for the next "program" that we think will magically solve this issue.
It's too bad officials in KCMO have the attention span of gnats. Of course it would also hlep if they had any interest in the residents who actually live in the city.

  7. Great place for a lazy police to eat tacos and not enforce law #1, which is, are you in the country legally? They aways talk about how the crime rate went down. When every one of them is here illegaly, the crime rate is 100%, you morons. It can't go down unless you deport them.
