TKC EXCLUSIVE GLOATING!!! KANSAS CITY PROPER TURNS AWAY FROM KANSAS CITY STAR ELITISM AND ARTHUR BENSON!!!
As promised . . . Just a bit of gloating to start the morning.
LAST NIGHT'S ELECTION VICTORY BY SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATE JOHN HILE DEMONSTRATED THAT THE STAR IS LOSING THEIR INFLUENCE IN KANSAS CITY PROPER!!!
Read the myopic and really strange Kansas City Star endorsement of School Board Member Arthur Benson . . .
"In Subdistrict 1, Arthur Benson is the choice over Jon Hile. Both candidates gathered enough signatures to have their names on the ballot.
Benson’s involvement with the school district dates back decades. An attorney, he agreed to represent plaintiff black schoolchildren in what became a long-running desegregation case. As a board member, he has displayed an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the district and about education reform. He has good ideas and works well with district officials. The district needs him to remain involved."
Nothing could be further than reality than this misrepresentation of Benson's Kansas City School District Legacy.
CONTRASTINGLY . . . TKC LED ALL OTHER KANSAS CITY MEDIA IN REPORTING ON JOHN HILE'S CANDIDACY!!!
Check just a few posts along with countless references related to kicking Benson out of office:
There was the TKC call in January to knock Benson out of office
Thankfully, John Hile was nice enough to give TKC an EXCLUSIVE interview in order to talk about his candidacy.
And then there was the election morning money quote that I thought was rather gully.
To be fair, John Hile was an excellent and highly qualified candidate in his own right. He worked hard throughout his campaign. He took the time and trouble to get on the ballot AND I would have encouraged people to vote for ANYBODY up to and maybe including Stalin instead of Arthur Benson.
But . . . I'm still awarding myself the win in this instance.
What does this mean?
Demographics, the changing media landscape and common sense could be SLOWLY replacing the tyranny of Kansas City's Largest Daily Dead Tree Media Distributor.
OR . . . Maybe not even the Star's penchant to cater to the local elite is powerful enough make voters forget about Benson's role in pretty much destroying Kansas City Public Schools.
DEVELOPING . . .
I said no.
ReplyDeleteTony:
ReplyDeleteGranted ... you were right.
But do we really know anything about Hile?
KC STAR is Republican, so with its conservative values, of course they are going to continue to endorse someone like Benson who has made people associated with school contracts very rich. It was a no brainer to go against the endorsement and pick the other guy for change. Me personally, I always vote the opposite of the Star's endorsement.
ReplyDeleteStar should be renamed-Losers Inc.
ReplyDeletethump your chest hard enough tony and you'll deflate.
ReplyDeleteYour getting an Alonzo complex. When are you going to turn black?
ReplyDeleteOld white guy loses. Fat younger white guy wins.
ReplyDeleteI think Hile could be good. But he may not get a chance if they take over the board soon enough.
ReplyDeleteHile must be ready to reinstate racial segregation to assure White Supremacy, because that is all that Arthur Benson fought over the years.
ReplyDeleteBenson lost this election last August.
ReplyDeleteGood call, Tony, but you're starting to sound like Gary Lezak.
ReplyDeleteBenson didn't stand for anything but lining his own pockets. That is why he lost. Anyone would have been better.
ReplyDeleteI want my ALL WHITE schools again and now Benson cannot do a damn thing about it! Fuck all you.
ReplyDeleteIt's a start, despite the evidence Americans are going broke, one household and one small business at a time.
ReplyDeleteHiles will give us our White schools, and push the niggers back in their holes.
ReplyDeleteWell now that should make Hile feel good about why he won. MF!
ReplyDeleteJust tell the nig nogs that they DON'T have to come to school and they won't! Problem solved! It's that easy.
ReplyDeleteI never would have voted for Hile if I had known he is a white supremacist. I feel like crying and throwing up. This is awful.
ReplyDeleteSuper Dave = Super Dork
ReplyDeletesp's's eaking of school boards, I'de like to call attention to yesterday's Hickiman Mills School Board revels. This is probably the most disfunctional board in America. In an election filled with double crosses and triple crosses and even the main "crossers" needed a score card to tell who was on whose side. They had a lot of fun with phony ballots, illegal ballotsetc. Continued developments are promised.Stay tuned for future developments.
ReplyDeleteIf you start mising the news about the corruption and dis-function of the K.C. school board, I urge you to look into the SB in Hickman Mills. Dominated by a superintendent from KC school district, the
ReplyDeletesuper has busied herself hiring teachers and administrators from the K.C. school district, Many of whom bring that "culture" with them.Currently they are attempting to give a retiring superintendent a half year's salary and trying to hire the super's friend as the new
super without so much as an interview of anyone for the job. Is this legal? Rumor has it that the designated super to be is not as yet even qualified to hold the position. Can this be true?
unfortunately it probably is very true. The current President of the Board and the Superintendent are best friends forever and the superintend has been given alsmot unlimited power. Rumor among the teachers is that 45 teachers are to be laid off and one new administrator will be hired. They are administrator heavy already, but of course, the proposed new administrator is still another good friend of the superintendent.
