All the people who lost their jobs and services that have been cut to pay for P&L thank Mayor Barnes too. Ummm, not!
ReplyDeleteThat's not to say that downtown doesn't look better and the district has much to offer but it came at a cost and the trade off was citizens got less service and the party goers got more for their money. At a time when people are making decisions about where and how to live in the new economy, I think this puts KCMO at a disadvantage. It was supposed to pay foritself and generate revenue. It has not and may never produce the promised results.

The taxpayers are paying for this folly, Cindy. And the fact that you are celebrating a money-vacuum that is sending millions of dollars out of the city and into Baltimore, MD is a DISGRACE AND DISGUSTING,

Its easy to point to something nice and call it a success. The problem is no pol ever points at an empty building and admits its empty because of things like the P & L District, the Sprint Center and a dozen other taxpayer funded fiascos.
