A half dozen KCPD cars and a trash truck took out Occupy KC this afternoon . . .
Occupiers lament that they didn't get any love on their six month anniversary.
Remember that there have been plenty of reports about prostitution and drug at the camp site . . .
I always thought the camp was mostly hobos and a few very well meaning hipsters.
Remember that we were talking about the impending demise of the camp EXCLUSIVELY on Wednesday.

The Occupy KC folks promised a "Spring Surge" and more activity. That can still happen but the camp site will no longer be their home base.
While Cable TV news no longer covers their struggle we have to credit some of the occupiers for sticking with their principles and keeping the issue of economic disparity and corporate governance in the limelight. The only thing we hope for Occupy KC is that their movement will not focus on more local and grassroots issues IF they decide to continue their work.

finally.
ReplyDeleteNot news. There were less than a dozen people living in the camp and they were mostly homeless.
ReplyDeleteGo occupy a socialist country. That is what you want here.
ReplyDeletethe occupy group realized moms house in OP isnt that bad & left the homeless behind.
ReplyDeleteThe "camp" is a symbol but only a symbol. It in no way means OKC is gone. Keep your eyes and ears open folks!
ReplyDeleteIf your're going to blog please proof read before you post: *drugs* or *drug use*
ReplyDeleteI happened to see the Rockfest website the other day. They have a autograph booth sponsered by Quintiles. #Occupy until I die.
ReplyDeleteOffcourse the #Occupy KC camp died. It is but a withering limb on the tree of #Occupy. When Boston, New york, DC, Phoenix were all humming along the support and interest was there. But as the DHS and the government with help from the corporate media have razed and intimadated all the camps so goes the rest in the more rural areas.
ReplyDeleteIf a tree falls in the forest and there's no one there, is there any noise?
ReplyDeleteOh, Occupy KC is gone?
Rural areas? Where are you from, Jethro?
ReplyDeleteHello Rock fest!
ReplyDeleteWas a pretty worthless occupation. Can you name ONE thing they accomplished?
ReplyDeleteAnswer? Polluted a city park. Other than that? Nothing.
3:25, are you really that big of a dumbass?
ReplyDeleteYou throw fault at someone else for their grammar and/or spelling.
And then YOU spell "proofread" incorrectly?
You must have attended one fine school there 3:25.
goodbye fuckheads
ReplyDeleteIdiots, all of them. They at least were somewhat cooperative today. Although all they want to do is argue about thier consitutional rights. Funny, but it's not my job to argue your "rights", and I don't want to talk to you. Get your shit and get the fuck out of the park. I gotta admit, I laughed a little when Parks and Recreation loaded up all thier crap with the intent of throwing it all in the dump. Pefect spot for all the trash, but they forgot the protesters.
ReplyDeleteIs Aggie Stackhaus going to say they should never be allowed to use the park again since they ruined the grass? Hey at least Rockfest cleaned their shit up and planted new grass. Why are we taxpayers footing the bill for these bums??
ReplyDeletePay attention here. Another life lesson the Right has been trying to teach you for seventy plus years but the moronic Left has still not quite understood.
ReplyDeleteSocialism fails everywhere it is attempted. Socialism is like a promise not to come in your mouth. Sounds good, feels great, but always ends with someone choking on a wad of spoo. Quit rubbing it on your face and calling it facial cream.
Oh don't worry. The next phase is to purchase actual land and occupy that.
ReplyDeleteSee you at the party, sucka!
