TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! OCCUPY KC CLAIMS A TEMPORARY VICTORY IN LAST NIGHT'S SHOWDOWN WITH KCPD!!!
For the most part, The Occupy KC Movement is finished. But here's a look at last night's drama . . .
There was a bit of a ruckus at the outset of the evening and this tweet sent local Occupiers into panic mode . . .
Nevertheless . . . Occupy KC was able to call in support . . .
Now here's where things stand:
If they're "calling in support" that means the camp is pretty much symbolic at this point.
The Occupy KC crowd did take down the "GP Tent" but 12 tents remain according to their Twitter account.
SO . . . HOW LONG WILL OCCUPY KC'S TENT CITY LAST?!?!?
The extended camping stay seems to be at a close and even staunch advocates of the Occupy Movement have complained about the homeless taking over most of the resources for the local movement.
Cable TV news has stopped giving the group a lot of coverage so there's really no objective measure of how much interest they're generating . . . Except for the fact that half of the the crowd at their most recent smallish protests are media and citizen journalists.

ReplyDeleteI think the KCPD, along with local officials, are trying to abide by the Constitution and give these 'kids', their right to SAY. Why? Because we're all part of the 99 percent and all agree with the problems on the middle class effected by the wealthy class.
ReplyDeleteJeez. Damned if they DO, damned if they DON'T! I am pleased the cops have been patient and respectful. I"ve seen them personally deal with it on several occasions. The Sergeants are every bit what I would hope they would be in dealing with citizens trying to exercise rights more basic to the country than any ordinance passed by city council.
I think the OKC movement has pretty much shot its wad. Time to pack up, say they'be made their statements and move on to their next strategy to try to inspire the 99 percent.
A dozen campers isn't going to do that. IT really didn't catch on and the police and city gum'ment gave them lots of patience to let that happen. They too are patriots, ya know!
Time to move on, decide what to do next... fraternity pranks won't change our society. Voting, and urging others to vote DEMOCRAT in the fall will be more effective than any pranks yet staged!
Thanks for your service OKC peeps.... you're as patriotic as anyone who ever put on a uniform to defend our Constitution!

Every service member that is buried in Arlington Cemetery are rolling over in the graves right now. This group is made up of ass clowns and is not doing this to be patriotic or for the betterment of the U.S. They are doing this to bother people and to give them selves a reason to not work or shower. Oh and vote Republican and see what real leadership is like. In case you think I dont know what i am talking about i am a US Marine, and comparing these slugs to service members is a joke and a disgrace.
