If City bought it, why and who is it for? Is a City employee driving an untagged car to and from work?. And Smoky lives in a posh Northland subdivision where his house probably cost $500k. He is handsomely rewarded for doing a mediocre job with the FD and a shitty job with MAST.

7:16 couldnt have said it better, and why is it all the fire trucks are newer to fight the fires we rarely have, yet the police cars look like shit and have high miles on them, could be the reason the murder rate in KC is neck in neck with Detroit because the funds in KC are being sent to the babies at the fire dept so they can play video games in the station, and the police are shorted what they need to fight a real fight which is crime, could be the funds are sent to the fire department because if it was directed to the police department they might uncover all the scandalous shit the fire department has been doing all these years.

ReplyDeleteThe PD has 1 brand new station, 1 under construction and 1 in the planning phase. Soon the oldest will be North Patrol, which was built in 76.
ReplyDeleteA lot of the KCFD stations were built in the middle of the last century as "temporary houses" meant to be used for 5 years while the city acquired land and built actual firehouses, but they ended up being used for 50 and were in deplorable, unhealthy and sometimes condemnable condition.
The KCFD fire fighters are in deplorable condition and their lifestyle habits are what make them unhealthy (aka LAZY)and many of the things they do make them condemnable which when they meet their maker they will answer for. Try and put that fire out suckers!!!

You know I dont get on here very often but some of this is just messed up. Yes we love our jobs it was our choice to do it I would like to make more at what I do but instead I have my own business that I make money to help with my family. Yes we did get a good pay raise but how about the Etax? Local 42 payed for and worked our asses off to get that passed for all of us. Yes we do have alot of down time, but how many times have you been away from home for 24 hours 2 days a week from your family? Or not gotten to eat because of a job you had to do? All I hear is "the few fires we have" check those numbers why dont you? We are the first responders and im sure if you have ever needed us you never hear us say, na we dont make enough. A 10 year KCPD officer makes more that a 10 year KCFD firefighter makes! Check that! The rigs we run there are some that are 1999's with 68000 miles on them, hard miles might I add with 60000 running hours on them. So the next time you think KCFD guys and gals are whores, remember this a KCPD officer is banging his friends wife while he is protecting our city!!! That is a fact!!! And we pay for plates,silverwear,internet,phones, food, and way more than you know. I hope you dont need our looser asses when your family or friends are in danger!!!!
