The story according to KCTV5:
"The Jackson County Prosecutor's Office said Kenyan E. Jones, 26, was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Prosecutors are seeking a $250,000 cash only bond.
"Jones told police that he had paid to have sex relations with Pearson earlier on Christmas Eve but Jones thought Pearson was a woman, according to court documents. Afterward, Jones told police he learned that Pearson was actually a man.
"Jones said he became angry as a result of the deception and killed Pearson, according to court records.
"Witnesses identified Jones as the man who was seen in the area, according to court documents."
This is all EXCEPTIONALLY ironic because this happened on the same day . . .

He should have been Honest about who he was. It's ok to be transsexual but don't deceive others in the process. Perhaps, honesty would have saved his life.

ReplyDeletehere is the truth...Kenyon Jones knew DeeDee was a transgender person. That man has been hanging around the t-girls on troost for awhile. he lied about not knowing her gender. And if he is claiming he shot DeeDee because he discovered her male side, then HE IS LYING.Plus, in my opinion that bumps this crime up to the level of a federal hate crime. DeeDee prostituted to survive. Thanks to the state of Missouri due to an old drug felony she could not obtain the necessary help up type of services other poverty level folks can get...no foodstamps for example. Deedee was a gentle soul, not at all violent. Deedee was somebody's child, somebody's sibling, somebody's friend. She had a sweet gentle spirit. Yes, she prostituted, but she was a human being. I would like to see some of the folks in the previous posts see how they would do trying to survive on the streets since they were teens.

ReplyDeleteNobody cares about how Deedee couldn't get food stamps because of a past drug charge. Life is full of choices. Deedee made poor ones. She could have seeked help, but chose not to. Don't act surprised that people aren't sympathetic. She got killed after repeatedly performing illegal sex acts along Troost. Include drugs too. Drugs and prostitution go hand in hand. And tax dollars weren't spent getting her government help! Who are you trying to kid? DeeDee was just another part of the problem, and not the solution.
