It's the Kansas City version of Carville and Matalin . . . I think they're ice skaters, right?  . . . Anyhoo . . .

TKC WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE MAYOR SLY'S CHIEF OF STAFF JOHN McGURK ON HIS RECENT ENGAGEMENT!!!

His hottie bride-to-be is kinda shy and I was just looking for another excuse to post my favorite photo of John McGurk. However, I don't even need to call "no fishsticks" in order to note the fact that Mr. McGurk is A HELLUVA catch given that he's obviously successful, tall and a snappy dresser. They were engaged on a recent trip to D.C. which is cool because McGurk's last road trip had the rest of KC and all of the Council Chamber talking about newly single Mayor Pro Tem Cindy Circo giving him the goo-goo eyes.

Sure, this town is awash in murders, debt and the same kind of development pipe-dreams that are sinking the rest of the globe in financial turmoil. Nevertheless, it's important to try and be happy in the midst of this hot mess we call local government.
