TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! WORD IS BRANDON ELLINGTON WILL RUN FOR MISSOURI'S 41ST DISTRICT SEAT!!!

Important news for the afternoon, politics on Kansas City's Eastside might soon undergo a much needed transformation.

THERE IS A GREAT DEAL OF EXCITEMENT OVER TALK THAT BRANDON ELLINGTON WILL RUN FOR THE 41ST DISTRICT MISSOURI HOUSE SEAT!!!

While there hasn't been any formal announcement, I've already been on the phone talking to a couple of members of the Missouri General Assembly's "Kansas City Caucus" and they think this is an EXCELLENT idea.

Mr. Ellington ran an IMPRESSIVE campaign for 3rd District-at-Large Kansas City Council . . . Even in the Northland he came away with a surprising level of support by way of A GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN that focused on making the 3rd District the center of Kansas City legislative improvements in order to benefit the entire metro area.

In recent Kansas City Council Forums, Mr. Ellington understood the challenges facing the 3rd District and offered specific solutions to curb crime, blight and increase community participation.

After the election, Mr. Ellington continued his advocacy and volunteer work for his community and neighborhood. He's on the board of a few non-profit boards AND he worked to organize forums, clean-up operations AND meetings encouraging community policing.

During the Council Campaign, even when Brandon Ellington didn't win endorsements there was never any doubt of his commitment to his community or his involvement.

NOW ABOUT THE PROCESS . . .  This vote isn't going to be on the ballot just yet, in fact the first hurdle a candidate will have to cross is A WEIGHTED VOTE AMONG COMMITTEE PEOPLE FROM THE MISSOURI HOUSE 41ST DISTRICT!!! So it could all be decided by about a dozen people and not all of the votes are "weighted" the same. Nevertheless, Mr. Ellington's broad range of support could come in to play during the process.

We'll wait for a formal announcement but make no mistake that the upcoming Missouri House Special elections could hold a great many surprises for the 41st District.

DEVELOPING . . .

  1. public should get a vote.

  2. The public does get a vote. But since most of the district blindly votes Democrat, the vote that counts is the Dem committee nomination. There is no primary in a special election.

  3. Good. Go, Brandon!

  4. That shot of the Mayor and B Ellington was taken moments before the "shots rang out".

  5. There may be trouble for the powers that be in the 39th. An Independent candidate is in the wings after the Demos picked an insider with little connection to the public.

  6. I have a Slanderella that makes up lies for me,

And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.

It really does. You get to blame everyone else, have no power as a junior member, and maybe you don't even have to show up, like Jonas Hughes.
    Quite a gig!
Oh, you you get to spend lots of other people's money and set yourself up for a job after you're done in Jeff City.
    Sweet!

  10. Oh yeah, the state rep job is a sweet but I don't think Brandon has the connections to make it happen.

  11. 9/10/11 10:01 PM- if you are right then this is even more reason to make sure that Brandon gets the seat. It's time someone got in that wasn't involved in all the back door dealings and neglecting their community. Brandon,go for it.

  12. 9/10/11 10:01 PM *OMG* calling the state rep job sweet,LMAO is the reason you black folks elect politicans that fuck you everytime. Face it you can't get Brandon Ellington to join the shake & take self appointed black leaders so I guess he doesn't have the right connections.

9/10/11 2:22 PM Where were the self appointed black leaders? B.Ellington, is always seen working, supporting our community. Hats off to this young leader, he is the only one that didn't win the election that has kept his promise. If I could, I don't reside in the 41st District I would vote for him.

  14. People like Brandon, who really do represent the ocmmunity and know the heart of east side residents, should have been appointed to the mayor's violent crime commission.
Instead, who do we get? Pator Miles! There must be some money in this somewhere!
Same old duds; same old results.

  15. Pastor Miles should have been appointed see have been appointed see how he robbed, stolen and took 26th-27th brooklyn all the way over to Prospect, and don't 4get all the money that he has received for a. Community Center that never broke ground now its getting covered up by more tax payers dollars. Let us give Rev.Miles, credit he put the residents out and kept the crackheads store and hang out bulding. Sly James is a 1 term mayor.
