Old school porn star Kelly Madison leads the way to this week's of Kansas City's most powerful people . . . Check it:
POLITICOS
1. City Council Dude John Sharp - Three weeks in a row Kansas City Council Dude John Sharp takes this honor because he's one of the few politicos at City Hall right now carrying out his agenda. So many other politicos are still celebrating their victory from the Spring.
2. Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker - She's already working on her re-election, she'll hire a former Star newsie and seems to moving toward an easy victory.
3. Council Lady Melba Curls - She didn't accomplish much but her meeting to thwart the local murder rate was a nice effort.
4. Council Lady Cindy Circo - She's the Mayor Pro Tem, ya know.
5. Council Lady Jan Marcason - She won a preliminary victory with MAST pension and until the cost skyrockets in arbitration, she can tout the win while showing us her beautiful smile!!!
NEWSIES
1. Kris Ketz - I will twitter follow that man into Hell. Or at least wake up at 4:30 in the AM to see what he's saying.
2. Hey Cameraman - An expert in the Kansas City digital news gathering scene who also happens to be a hell of a photographer.
3. Erin Little - Once again she has become incredibly fat for reasons I don't understand, but kudos to the weather lady for still smiling on TV.
4. Russ Ptacek - His name is a synonym for excellence and even when he's not breaking huge stories, he's publishing brilliant day-to-day stuff.
5. Eric Wesson - One of Kansas City's best Community reporters who also advocates for his readers and community.
TKC COMMENTERS
1. Byron - We all lose are temper around here from time to time but only Byron consistently stays classy.
2. Chuck - His quick wit and dialogues crack us all up when he's not pissing us off.
3. Another Midtown Mom - She's a beloved regular that shows us the softer side of the bloggy discourse.
4. Fat Boy - The new guy can be mean but also damn insightful in certain respects. Just don't make him mad.
5. Radioman - We have to acknowledge one of the most prolific TKC Commenters because he stands up to A LOT of criticism. Also, I've read his blog and I'm convinced he leaves all of his best stuff here for you d-bags.
6. InaFunkabouttheFunk - This local fact checking Internet denizen is now mostly retired by he was a powerhouse all over the local net during the last Mayoral administration and probably one of the big reasons that you have a new Mayor . . . Or at least why so many bloggers have comments turned off because they don't like being taken to task on matters of fact.
7. Toadstool_Watcher - Gone with Gloria, this blog commenter cracked me up with some straight up cruel, hilarious and eloquent insights.
8. The TKC Referee - I almost never agree with his calls but kudos to somebody willing to play the part.
9. Creative Comment Names - Most of the time they're rude and not that funny but every now and then, they're worth a giggle . . . Which is just about as good as you can get on the Internets.
10. Anonymous - The best and worst people in all of Kansas City writing snide or impassioned things from a dark room because that's what the angry do nowadays.
As always, this list has been compiled according to scientific TKC polling and market research data and it's a weekly comprehensive guide to local powerful people.
Careful with that sword, lady. You could hurt yourself.
ReplyDeleteThis site really hits close to home, born and raised here, left for 30 years and came back, nothing changed, except more JOCO douchbags
ReplyDeleteOMG! An homage to Pink Flamingos!

ReplyDeleteThe MAST vote was definitely not a Marcason victory. It was a cowardly compromise, no doubt pushed by Marcason toady Glorioso. If this is the leadership on the new Finance and Ethics Committee, we're all in trouble.
ReplyDeleteIf you didn't know Circo was the mayor pro tem, wait ten seconds after you meet her. She'll tell you by then.
ReplyDeleteWowser. Thanks, Tony.
ReplyDeleteYour analysis of the commentators was spot on. I would have added a personal favorite of mine: Thin Margin.
It was funny at first but stop giving credit to John Sharp. It's going to his head.
ReplyDeleteErin Little is prego. It's a good excuse...
ReplyDeleteCongrats Byron. And I agree with you about Thin Margin. Although I think, aside from Tony, Rman is my all time favorite person in the entire world to argue with, the rest of you are fun too, especially Chuck and toadstool_watcher.
ReplyDeleteHey Diana! Did you win or lose in Vegas this week?
ReplyDeleteWhy did you not take your husband on your birthday trip?
Did Theresa Garza lighten her hair and start going by the name of Kelly Madison?
ReplyDeleteToadstool watcher & Inafunk were both Susan Ramirez, who worked on Mike Burke's campaign. A loser all the way around.
ReplyDeleteMan you hit bottom with that choice of broad Tony! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteThanks Spyke, I do enjoy internet forensics; its hard bein right all the time without getting arrogant about it but having a face for radio and the internet, I manage not to throw TOO many ego insults.
ReplyDeleteAs to Byr, well that guy can show more class bein' wrong than anybody in here! He's an absolute inspiration, bein able to make the most out of what little he's got!
Thank you, Radioman.
ReplyDeleteI love you, too.
ROFLMAO!
ReplyDeletespike was unfairly omitted. I like the cut of his jib.
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteHow nice.
Thanks.
In the future, I am going to try and be more civil, and think before I type.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a little.
ReplyDeleteOk, that was bullshit.
ReplyDeleteGood bloggy at a boy.
ReplyDeleteWhile I appreciate the shout out, I'd like to point out that I'm only mean when confronted with hypocrisy, stupidity, duplicitousness, or arrogance- and especially when it's my own.
ReplyDeleteEric Wesson fat paid off joke denied that he meant to attack AIm for peace. Coward.
ReplyDeleteEric Wesson fat paid off joke denied that he meant to attack AIm for peace. Coward.
ReplyDeleteEric Wesson only mission is to try and gain readers so he will put out anything. Yeap it was a call to meeting with Wesson this past week and he was sorry, you guys must have taken it the wrong way. He actually believes in AIM for Peace, but he has to make a living.

ReplyDeleteI think you are wrong. I think that both Toad Stool Watcher & In a Funk are men. I think I know what handle Susan Ramirez uses, & since I respect her, I'm not going to say. There was a Kevin Hennesey (SP) hater here for a while who thought they were him, along with Radioman & I. Its best not to make assumptions.
Also, thanks to Spyke!
