TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY COMPLAINS THAT SO MUCH POLICE PROTECTION PUTS SLY JAMES OUT OF TOUCH!!!

Through no fault of their own, most members of the KCPD aren't as enticing as Sara Jean Underwood. No big deal, they're busy trying to maintain order amid so much Kansas City chaos that's anything but a beauty contest.
Still . . .
Already there has been a few complaints about Kansas City's Mayor-elect and his entourage in blue.
First of all, I agree that in the aftermath of the Giffords tragedy a focus on increased security for Kansas City elected officials is important.
However . . . Complaints about THE SLY JAMES POLICE HEAVY PRESENCE started on election day and have continued.
Both candidates had police bodyguards during the day, the winner would maintain the KCPD protection. Still . . .
KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS TELL US: WHEN SLY JAMES JOURNEYED TO KANSAS CITY'S EASTSIDE DURING THE ELECTION HIS POLICE ESCORTS SEEMED OVERWROUGHT FOR A NEIGHBORHOOD THAT OFFERED ALMOST TOTAL SUPPORT!!! YES, THERE WERE COMPLAINTS AND AN OBSERVATION ABOUT HIS ACCESSIBILITY TO THE COMMUNITY!!!
Again, more security for our Mayor is a good thing . . . And so far Sly hasn't flubbed this topic like Mayor Funky refusing and then taking protection.
But there is a balancing act that Mayor-Elect Sly James must address . . .
In so many urban sections of Kansas City, the sight of Mayor-Elect Sly James hiding behind an army of heavy police protection doesn't speak to the experience of residents.
More importantly . . . This is a subject that so many white-bread consultants that the Sly James campaign has on staff are in no way qualified to address.
Sorry Mayor-Elect James . . . Jason Kander can't answer this one for you.
Still, already Sly James is starting to seem out of touch with the urban core and we're waiting to see if it's something he even notices.
Snap.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we do not need Jason Kander in the Prosecutor's Office, if this is his vision of security?
ReplyDeleteDon't know if Kander is the solution in the Prosecutor's office (highly doubt it) but I do know it's time for a change of Prosecutor.
ReplyDeleteSly is not stupid-he knows how dangerous KC streets are.
ReplyDeleteKansas City the Murder Factory.
ReplyDeleteBS.
ReplyDeleteListen what do you expect from people with James' and Kander's background.
ReplyDeleteJames was an MP during his service in the Marines.
Kander was attached to a military unit that aided CIA contractors in conducting torture in Afghanistan. For all we know Jason Kander is a war criminal. (And that report has never been countered with an official service record to the contrary provided by Jason Kander, so just saying it is not so but the truth is "classified" is not acceptable Jason.)
Both of these guys have been taught to use intimidation and overwhelming force to "win friends and influence people."
I agree with 3/24/11 7:51 PM, Jason Kander should never be placed in charge of county prosecutions, because he learned his methods in the "Little Shop of Horrors" in Bagram. That is one way to invite a huge number of overturned convictions.
The NAACP and Urban League needs to keep a close eye on Kander, either as an advisor to the Mayor-Elect, or as a potential prosecutor.
ReplyDeleteThe hazy war record should raise alarms.
Let's face it.
ReplyDelete"Sly" James is just an Uncle Tom being "run" by a Jew named Jason Kander.
This is the very kind of relationship that has wrecked the economy in Black neighborhoods in hundreds of American Cities.
We should expect little else.
great another "out of touch" mayor. Just what kc needs.
ReplyDelete8:43pm is really off in far left (or right) field. Are we going to start conspiracy theories already? If you've spent any time talking with eithr of the people you've slimed, you'd never come to the ridiculous conclusion you have. We already have Jack Cashill to come up with intrigue and mystery that's based on nothing but his own harebrained theories.
ReplyDeleteLet's give these new folks a chance , at least until they actually get sworn in!
And the KCPD were around at all the events I attended during the campaign. It's not Mr. James making these decisions, it's the PD.
My faux response is here. http://twitter.com/MayorSly/status/51091127683645440 Follow me on twitter, I promise my wife will stay home.
ReplyDeleteI'd bet Sly has one good round in him.
ReplyDeletePutting all the Kander accusations aside, Sly needs to step out on his own.
ReplyDeleteI hope no one threw tacos at him.
ReplyDeleteI know those police officers, and they are the coolest people you could ever want to know. Good public servants doing an essential job.
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful.
Sly we need to drop Kander.
ReplyDeleteThe agenda driven identity politics of TKC are exposed for the racist horseshit that they are, BEFORE the new mayor takes office!
ReplyDeleteSly James will be a great mayor, who will achive concensus and achievement.
Semper Fi Sly!!
Sly is such a stud, he will not let his ego rule his agenda.
Sly, in my opinion, does not care if anyone remembers him.
Sly is goal oriented, and will credit the city coucil for any progress.
Sly will build concensus.
Sly, is, SEMPER FI!!
I know this sounds so stupid, but--I feel like (Emotional shit, I know) he will turn this city's ship of state, gradually, in a more positive direction.
God Bless ya Sly! Suffer the slings and arrows with the knowledge that we love you!!
Your gonna be great!!
I am willing to be a shiny, new nickle that Chuck doesn't live in the City limits.
ReplyDeleteI live in Tracy Ward's district, and I am easy to find.
ReplyDeleteLove you- and I love SLY!!!
SEMPER FI!!!!!
He is gonna be a GREAT MAYOR!!
You're so funny, Chuck! You think that keep you from getting a ticket? I bet of the model at the top of this post would give you one if she pulled you over.
ReplyDeleteHaha you guys know that after the Tuscan tragedy mayors and high up officials MUST BE accompanied by police right? Fucking idiots..my god the ignorance in this poor domain is enough to qualify for the special Olympics.
ReplyDelete2:40 misspelled Tuscon - but is otherwise correct. The mayor gets police protection whether he wants it or not. And unfortunately, in these days, that protection is needed. Do you know how many assholes are out there? Oh, wait - just read some of these comments and you'll know.
ReplyDeleteEveryone was in an uproar when Funk refused police security. Now the same that Sly has accepted it. Let's target the real problems facing kansas city - criminals getting away with murder, good ole boys corruption in city hall, unacredited, broken school system, etc. Kander just might be the solution in the prosecutors office.
ReplyDeleteTo the tune of "Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy..." Kansas City, you're no Tuscon. LOL City officials in need of police escorts. hahahahahahaha I think I'm seeing a bit of "full of themselves" going on here!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chuck for clearing the air. Tony should remember all the forums Sly & other candidates attended with no security. Only Funk had security as he should have. James didn't have security after his primary victory until the week of the General Election. Even that was minimal. Tony should stop acting like the dead tree media. When was the last time Tony was at Gigis, 12th & Garfield, 39th & Vineyard, Prospect, etc? Tony we need eracism which is the opposite of what you are doing.
ReplyDelete3/25/11 4:58 AM
ReplyDeletePlease provide the names of all criminals who have got away with murder in KC thanks to actions taken or not taken by the prosecutors office?
No tickets for this old man Rman, I hope!
ReplyDeleteKander did such a knock out job on writing new rules for financial filings that drive contributions underground, I am sure he would be a great prosecutor - if you wanted to revive the Pendergast Machine.
ReplyDeleteTony, go back to your mom's basement.
ReplyDeleteI know when I see a Paul post it's going to be stupid. Thanks for never disappointing...
ReplyDeleteAin't nobody gonna touch ma new nigga!! NOBODY!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere was the criticism when Frankenhouser took police protection? That's why I NEVER expected James to win the election. There's too damn much predjudice in Kansas City.
ReplyDeletewho knows what sly promised the hispanics and blacks for there support. time will tell maybe smelser will apply for the park board
