Geraldine Ferraro was a brilliant lady politico and a trailblazer, sadly she died today. The news isn't really Kansas City related except it reminds me that sometimes it's just hard luck that befalls the most wonderful politicos . . . Meawnhile, AirClaire and the ladies on the Kansas City Council have managed to implode, sabotage and self-destruct without any unfortunate circumstance or other people to blame.

Actually, it ends badly for everybody. Some just earlier than others. She got pretty far in the race for success though. She made TKC, didn't she?

I earned a lot of respect for her in recent years when she bucked the Crat establishment and said the media and Crat party were guilty of sexism towards Clinton and Palin in '08 elections. I do not like Geraldine's politics but I did respect her as a person.
