TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! INTOLERANT REPUBLICAN LADY ANNIE PRESLEY LEADS THE CITY COUNCIL CASH RACE IN THE 4TH DISTRICT!!! JOHN CRAWFORD RUNS A CLOSE SECOND!!!

There just might be a MAJOR SHIFT underway in Kansas City's 4th District now that TKC SWEETHEART Beth Gottstein is out of the race.
AN INTOLERANT REPUBLICAN BLOGGER TAKES THE LEAD IN THE CASH RACE FOR KANSAS CITY'S 4TH AT-LARGE DISTRICT!!!
I'd like to remind folks of TKC BREAKING NEWS about Annie Presley's nasty and intolerant blogging back in early December.

PRESLEY HAS WRITTEN A BUNCH OF STUPID THINGS ON THE INTERNETS THAT SHOULD REMIND KANSAS CITY VOTERS NOT TO TAKE REPUBLICANS SERIOUSLY!!!
Strange that a somewhat prominent Kansas City PR lady should write something so intolerant and off putting . . . Here's a money quote from Presley's silly blog written for Kansas City's high society mag, The Independent:
"If Elena Kagan is confirmed, six of our Supreme Court Justices will be Roman Catholic and three will be Jewish. I find this absolutely astonishing. What I find further astonishing is that no one is ranting and raving about it. According to the Pew Foundation, 51% of America worships in a Protestant church, 24% at a Catholic Mass and 1.7% in a Synagogue. It’s almost unbelievable that not one law school in America is able to produce a Protestant qualified to sit on the High Court. Hmmmm."
Wow. This tiny bit of stupid religious intolerance should work well given that most of the power brokers in the 4th District are Catholic or Jewish people.********
I still think her writing is horrible and I also find it doubly offensive because it's not funny.
LUCKILY 4TH DISTRICT CANDIDATE JOHN CRAWFORD IS RUNNING A CLOSE SECOND IN THE 4TH DISTRICT AT-LARGE CASH RACE WITH A LOT MORE LOCAL SUPPORT!!!

And here's the best part, everybody who meets or knows John Crawford thinks he's one of the nicest AND smartest guys in Kansas City.
His community development work has shaped some of the most important projects in Kansas City and he has picked up a great deal of support and endorsements.
TAKE A LOOK AT HOW THE 4TH DISTRICT MONEY RACE BREAKS DOWN:
So, this is where we stand now . . . A big money, bloggy and quite nasty GOP lady has a slight edge in the cash race while the Demos fight amongst themselves and Crawford outpaces all of the other competitors reporting by quite a lot.
Looks like it's time for Kansas City Democrats to get their checkbooks out for the 4th District or risk having a GOP blogger in charge.
Developing . . .
Glover needs to get on the ball or get out.
ReplyDeleteJack Danforth, as in Senator Danforth, gave her $500.
ReplyDeleteShe will be absolutely useless if she gets elected. My money says you would be luckier to get an audience with the Pope.
ReplyDeletelooks like the only real support is behind crawford
ReplyDeleteactually i think there have been a lot of rich men behind Annie
ReplyDeleteGlover is living 30 years out of date. He needs to get out before he embarrasses himself again like he did in the mayor's race in 07.
ReplyDeleteAmount of support within KC seems to be the key number...Crawford running nearly even with Presley in amount, just more people in city getting behind him.
ReplyDeleteMcGregor is a joke and once Annie got in that killed her only chance of winning, being the only woman on the ballot
The UMKC College Republicans are collecting Presley's signatures for her.
ReplyDeleteYeah Tony, because the one party system (Democrats) has done so well for Kansas City. When are special interest folks going to realize that both parties suck but when there is only one party then that party really sucks.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it...Tony has an entire blog dedicated to trashing KCMO but yet still only supports the party in control. Someday people need to learn to vote for candidates not parties.
ReplyDeleteThe chart seems to illustrate that people who work in KCMO have no money!
ReplyDeleteWhen did "bigoted" become "intolerant?"
ReplyDeleteHer blog reads like a Klan manifesto.
You guys sure do practice a tone of civility on the blog. Obama should be proud of you guys.
ReplyDeleteYour Bitchy Grizzly put a crosshairs over Gabbie's district and left it there long after people pointed it out. I guess that is Republican Civility.
ReplyDeleteJust another clown to add to the circus!
ReplyDeleteVery few of these people would have any chance of being elected if the voters in KCMO paid any attention.
Is there an actual campaign to elect Glover?
ReplyDeleteGottstein is, obviously, not a fan of Annie P.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone noticed what a leftist Anne McGregor is?
ReplyDeleteI mean, opposing prop C, Obama neighborhood czar. Might as well vote for someone in the center.
Really, A tennis club? Before you jumped into the Obama-nation THIS was your claim to fame? You're a joke, and no one in the Northland is going to support an Obamacare, radical, leftist wacko with no REAL experience in policy or inside baseball.
Too bad there isn't anyone running who is a centrist, former veteran, former labor member, connected some to the establishment, and has a track record of running successful economic development projects.
Oh wait...
A successful record of economic development projects where the risk is born by the public and the profits taken by the developer, like John Crawford?
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she's smelling something bad.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't trust a fundamentalist on the Supreme Court.
ReplyDeleteEd "Gomer" Moody for mayor.
ReplyDeleteAttention Anne M !! That document was leaked from your campaign team. Wake up and smell the bullshit coffee being served to you!!
ReplyDeleteAttention Anne M !! That document was leaked from your campaign team. Wake up and smell the bullshit coffee being served to you!!
ReplyDeleteAnnie p has been raising money for about 5 minutes... That is impressive no matter what you think of her politics.
ReplyDeleteJust watch and see who Sherwood Smith supports now that Anne Mcgregor's campaign team walked her off that cliff. Sherwood had to be pissed after that knife in the back she delivered on the pension deal! Ouch!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Republicans Chris Benjamin and Danny Powell at RGC are helping Anne raising that big $2,000. Another campaign fail on its way.
ReplyDeleteActually, 6:45,
ReplyDeleteCrawford may be generally centrist, but he'd also known for being progressive. Remember that group of women and minority contractors that endorsed him? Seems like they think he's a straight-shooter.
Is there something called moderate/progressive?
To my long-time friend, Jim Glover:
ReplyDeleteWe've worked together on a lot of things over the years. I say this from the heart: Time to let this City Council thing go. You are a good, talented man. Don't let your legacy be that you leaped in at the last minute, resulting in a wrenching slug-fest for Kansas City's urbanists.
You could end up electing this Presley woman. You will lose more friends than you know.
Jim Glover, it is over.
ReplyDeleteTKC, you are lower than an east-side crack whore. You fill this shithole with all kinds of racist bile about numbers of hispanics needed to yield "equitable" representation on the KC school board, on the council, on the county legislature, and you see the same thing thrown out about religion and the Supreme Court, and scream "lunatic!"
ReplyDeleteNice to see that you can recognize stupidy in others' postings/rants. Maybe a little self-editing will serve you well in the coming months here at Hypocrite Central.
If she wins we should expect her to run for Congress next.
ReplyDeleteThere's not enough money in the whole world to elect someone like Annie. She'll just end up like alot of the other know-nothing candidates, throwing all the money away on "consultants" who tell her what to do and say.
ReplyDeleteBut at the end of the day, just a rather nasty woman in an empty suit with a nice scarf.
And then she can take the Patterson Congressional race playbook and throw away lost more money.
TO: Potential Annie Presley Donors
ReplyDeleteRE: How to Squander Your Money and Damage Your Reputation
----------
Learn the lesson of BOTH the California Governor's Race, AND the New Jersey Governor's Race.
Even spending all the money in the world cannot win an election if you have someone who is either OBVIOUSLY unqualified or out-of-touch. Annie Presley clearly fits both descriptions.
If you are wealthy and want to give her lots of your money, go ahead and do it. But with her own public writing, it's CLEAR she is a BIGOT -- anti-Catholic, anti-Jew, anti-Gay.
Sending her your money makes a clear statement to the world that YOU are a bigot. Don't do it; don't damage YOUR reputation in Kansas City.
Anne has raised $2,000 and paid RGC $2000. Another campaign fail by the Republican Foreclosure Consultants.
ReplyDeleteI like a good intolerant white woman once in awhile. If Tony finds her writings offensive, that alone is reason enough to send her a few bucks.
