Here's EXCLUSIVE followup to a story blogged on TKC that created an ensuing ruckus.
Related a recent statement from Rep. Leonard Jonas Hughes IV concerning some campaign finance reporting discrepancies, I just got off the phone with Hughes and here's what he said:
"I am retracting my previous statement regarding RGC. Ultimately, I am the only one responsible for my campaign finance reports.
I want to reiterate that those reports will be amended and corrected.
Moreover, I am eager to move forward with my campaign to serve the voters of the 3rd District." -- Rep. Leonard Jonas Hughes IV

Again, more attention and more reporting of 3rd District campaign and election news is what Kansas City needs desperately given that this could be the most important election in town.
So where the hell is the BACK STORY? Don't be lettin that guy off the hook like that!!!

ReplyDeleteThere is no way in the world that a candidate wants to tell the Ethics Commission that he or she does not know what is filed on their reports.
The fucker is looking at jail time and a huge fine. I am sure someone got to him and told him to walk back his previous statement with vigor.

ReplyDeleteIt seems fair to assume that the same consultants giving him the latest advice are the same guys he's now letting off the hook. Or is he putting himself back on the hook? Or is there no hook there?

ReplyDeleteThe fact that your father was a judge does not qualify you to be anything.
Please serve the residents of the 3rd District and KC for that matter by promptly seeking treatment for your apparent psychological or addiction problems.
Do us all a favor by getting off the public payroll and find a job in the private sector at a job that is more suited to your abilities, such as QT. Oh... wait... you actually have to count to be able to work there.
Anyway, we wish you the best of luck in treatment and job hunting. I am sure that you will find something that is appropriate for your skill set.
Maybe Jermaine Reed could get you a job with the Green Zone money he isn't spending in the 3rd District.
Jonas Hughes has Psychological Problems...emphasis on "Psycho"...how does he fix his 12 campaign reports all that shows he lives at 4600 Wallace Ave..which is in the 5th District.
