Northland Political Picks New Faces: Forward Kansas City Favors Mostly White Guys!!!

A not so interesting line up from a group The Star called "irrelevant" . . .

On the subject of their 6th District pick:

Brown isn't exactly a "Good Government" pick considering that he was fined $4k not so long ago for his campaign finance foibles.

REGARDING BROWN, A KICKASS TKC TIPSTER SAYS . . . "Here is a guy who just ran and was re-elected for State Representative. He asked the voters of SE Kansas City to give him two more years and turns around with 3 weeks and runs for another office.

Could he drag down the entire Forward slate including Deb Hermann? I think Kristl and those guys are getting Hermann in a bind again."

Still, read the presser and tell us what you think . . .

Forward Kansas City Opts for New Faces

Forward Kansas City is pleased to present to its Citizens its recommendations for election to the City Council in February and March of 2011.
“We have chosen almost every time a person who is a new face.” Said Tim Kristl President. “It was a very interesting process. Our board wanted new ideas and in almost every race, we opted for that new person”

The Forward Kansas City recommendations are:

1st District At Large Scott Wagner
1st District In District Dick Davis

2nd District At Large Allen Dillingham
2nd District In District Russ Johnson

3rd District At Large Durwin Rice

4th District At Large John Crawford

5th District At Large Cindy Circo

6th District At Large Michael Brown

”As you can see, we chose Allen Dillingham over the incumbent in the 2nd District and Durwin Rice over the incumbent in the 3rd District. In the 4th District, we chose John Crawford over two past councilmen seeking another term and in the 6th District we also chose a new face, Michael Brown over a past city councilman. We are thrilled in our ability to present these new people and with new goals and ideas to our citizens. These new ideas, thoughts and solutions are what our city needs right now.”

  1. Dillingham will lose in the North.

    These Republicans have ruined Deb.

  2. Kiss of death.

  3. Tim kristl and Crawford are bigtime TIF buddies. Crawford with new goals? He recommended as a TIF staffer/consultant every failed TIF in the City.

Are you fucking serious? Dillingham over Ford? And endorsing crazy ass Russ Johnson? Please tell me what Circo has done, besides your wife's nails, to be re-elected?! Fucking white ass idiots!

  5. Well now that we've heard from the losers ...

    ReplyDelete
  6. I sense a lot of prejudice against white men.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Wrong 2:59, you don't "sense" it, after centuries of dishing it out, you've earned it!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Dear 3:17: So the remedy for the sin of judging no-whites by the color of their skin is to judge whites by the color of their skin.

Yes, I am white. But I have never discriminated because of color. I haven't earned this.

Are you black? After what the Buffalo soldiers did to the Indians, do you deserve to be hated by Indians?

Are you of Japanese descent? Do you deserve to be hated by the Chinese because of the Rape of Nanking?

    On and on.

We make no progress when we hold attitudes such as yours.

  9. Given that there is so much demeaning of women and racist comments on TKC, I can only assume that most readers are conservative Republicans.

They can't be liberal Democrats, because we know liberal Democrats are all as pure as the driven snow.

  10. Thanks Cathy Jolly for your insightful attack on Mike Brown. Can your husband bake some cookies for tonights event?

    ReplyDelete
  11. 2:26 : You clearly have no idea what you are talking about and CLEARLY an opponent of Crawford's. Chances are you benefit from MOST of his Tif projects and chances are you can't even name any failed TIF's he has been involved in.

    ReplyDelete
  12. These are all Kim Carlos cronies.

Both Tim Kristl and Kim are behind Cindy Circo -- the new face.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hmmmm since all but 4 TIFs in the city are underperforming or in the red, no one woulod have a hard time. REfer to any TIF audit don eover the last ten years.

    ReplyDelete
  14. 3:45 Think you are mistaken my friend. Plenty of projects have benefited from TIF and are currently PERFORMING. Until you give me details on Crawford's specific involvement on HOW these Tifs are failing...you are just another person using "tif" as a bad word. find something new and try to get over the face your candidate you are supporting is probably not going to beat crawford.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Crawford wasn't a bad Choice.

Dillingham will be the best race.

Dick Davis is a good man.

Wagner will probably win but he doesn't have anything special about him.

Rice should run in the 4th where he lives.

Circo is just local 42 representation.

Brown? I think they just couldn't find anybody else.

This group is just Deb supporters. But they might get at least three wins.

  16. WTF Durwin Rice over Ellington. Now it is a true take over black people you better wake up white racists are trying to do a district take over.

    ReplyDelete
  17. This is just Deb's campaign trying to create a slate for her of people who don't know her well enough to know better. Circo and Deb have and will never be girlfriends and paint each other's nails. ick!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Can Durwin Rice deal with the crime on the Eastside? Hell no. I was at the forum last night and heard him speak he was terrible he didn't know anything after his opening it was clear he is being put through by developers. Brandon Ellington on the other hand addressed the questions head, he is a product of the 3rd district and didn't just move in to run. Durwin Rice what the hell are you going to do, plant tulips for all the dead bodies.

  19. Brown is from the Northland, so it kind of makes since, even though he violated the most basic of tenets in the Ethics law -- using campaign money for personal use. Oh well.

    ReplyDelete
  20. TKC's logic is so fuckin funny. Most of the Latinos live south of the river, and there is NO Latino representation on the CC. North of the river has a small percentage of Latinos, and TKC expects Latino candidates! Dumbass!

    ReplyDelete
  21. There's not even a Latino running . . . Yet.

And the percentage of Latinos North of the river is far greater than you think.

    Fun fact: They're voters too!!!

Actually, my comments refer to the lack of African-American representation in the 3rd on this endorsement list. But they also have some good picks as well. Life is give and take.

Just wanted to fact check you.

  22. Regarding the supposedly "failed" TIF developments. If you would take the time to take a tour, you will see that there are many, many people employed in those stores, restaurants, offices, etc. While the overall businesses may not be very profitable in the present economy.....please tell me who IS profitable and doing great right now? Also, do you believe that all the people who are employed in those TIF developments (and pay taxes, by the way) would prefer that the jobs created by the TIF development go away? Not a chance! Don't any of you realize that development is the best way to create JOBS? That's sure MY priority. So am I voting for Mr. Crawford? A nice and intelligent man who may know how to get us all on better financial footing? You betcha!

    ReplyDelete
  23. What Circo over Davis really!!! New faces my ass. I heard they did not even give him a response and a chance to talk to them. If they put Circo back in god help us.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I need Johnson and Circo there in order to keep sucking tax dollars away from basic services.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Empress, well said! Not only do they suck hind tit, they are pigs asses! Easily bought.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Why do we have to pay the George family (Father, Daughter or both) every time we turn around?

    ReplyDelete
  27. PLEASE get these SOB'S out of city hall do not vote for Circo, FUNK, CURLS, FORD, And PLEASE do not put Cathy JOLLYS husband in there for goodness sake, wake up people.

  29. Rice admitted that he is clueless when it comes to the residents of the 3rd district he considers them his project. He also admitted he has only lived in the 3rd district for 6 weeks, this means he will not have 6 mths residency to run.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Major hypocrisy exposed: if this was the east side or west side people would be crying that the politicians should reflect the "community" right? Okay, well the Northland is still predominately white so what's wrong with the politicians representing their local demographic? Huh, why the double standard folks? It's time to lay off the white man. Imagine...a day without a white man. Really, take it there but think it all the way through. All the way through, the world descends into third world chaos without the white man. Enjoy it if it actually comes to fruition.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Put Rice in the 3rd and the blacks are going to be moving to the northland and thats a promise, the choice is yours.

    ReplyDelete
  32. What will become of the great white northland? What will happen?

    ReplyDelete
  33. It will be just fine. Schools will continue to be highly rated, crime rate will continue to be low, trash will be in bags placed at the curb not all over the streets, and if you break the law and someone sees you, they will identify you and show up to court to prosecute you. Most importantly, we will always pay our taxes so we can provide services to you south of the river.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Another typical couple dozen posts on TKC about elections and candidates and nothing but egos, personalities, "connections", and gossip. Not a single idea or proposal about addressing KCMO's very serious issues and challenges.
All that was missing was the usual Tony pitch to somehow mention Chris Moreno.
    What a joke!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Who's Chris Moreno?

    ReplyDelete
  36. good choice with endorsing crawford. he's the real deal and certainly has my vote.
