TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY POLITICAL INSIDERS CLAIM CROWDED MAYORAL FIELD NEGATES NORTHLAND INFLUENCE!!!

There's a silly logic currently at play among political consultants claiming that the Northland controls Kansas City Mayoral elections and that myth is soon to be busted according to AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS!!!

Important fact:

SO MANY NORTHLAND CANDIDATES FOR KANSAS CITY MAYOR ARE SPLITTING THAT AREA'S VOTE AND MAKING IT ESSENTIALLY MEANINGLESS IN THE PRIMARY!!!

Let's take a look at the way the Mayoral Election breaks down for the Northland according to AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS:

Council Lady Deb Hermann is Kansas City's Mayoral Front Runner because she the most support of any Northland Candidate. Hermann has also made a great many allies in the 4th District. However, The Eastside will not vote for Hermann. Her best bet for picking up support outside of her immediate circle of friends is in the often neglected corners of South KC.

Mayoral Candidate Mike Burke also has a significant contingent of Northland supporters, but more importantly he has more connections to Kansas City's elite "money crowd" than just about any contender in the race. Most importantly, Burke is in the process of reaching out to the African-American Community and Eastside voters who have been heretofore ignored by most other Mayoral hopefuls.

Finally, it would be a mistake to forget that Mayor Funky's last remnants of support comes from suburban Northland folks afraid of all the brown people on the other side of the river. Not even GOP Machiavelli Jeff Roe's influence can completely win this part of KC for the outgoing Mayor but the talk radio influence is enough to peel off a few thousand misguided souls casting their ballots.

So, with three fairly serious candidates dividing up votes in the election, the Northland as a political force is non-factor.

After the primary that might (or might not) change significantly.

KANSAS CITY'S NORTHLAND ONLY KNOWS HOW TO VOTE AGAINST BLACK CANDIDATES FOR MAYOR!!!

Given the historic numbers against Former Mayor Cleaver and Former Councilman Brooks, the record of Northland General Election bigotry is sad fact of life that works horribly against Mayoral Cash Leader Sly James. However, if two white candidates run against each other in Kansas City's General Election, yet again the Northland is a non-factor given that partisan, ideological and socioeconomic divisions come into play and no "common enemy" can be created to unite the population that's actually quite diverse.

For better or worse, all of this unsettling Kansas City racial and geopolitical division is not only important in understanding how candidates for Mayor will win this race but also essential in understanding the environment that brings forth candidates for elected office in this Cowtown.
