I've got it from DAMN AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS that Deb Hermann is going to running for Mayor of Kansas City.
So there it is:
KANSAS CITY NOW HAS A WHITE LADY RUNNING IN THE UPCOMING MAYORAL ELECTION!!!
Now it's a party. And while political denizens must forgive me for not waiting for the formal announcement . . . Hermann's Mayoral Run is all but a foregone conclusion for most local, political insiders.
In terms of the precious Northland vote and overall Kansas City demographics . . . This is a game changer.
Things to think about regarding Hermann:
She has A LOT of fans that folks might not suspect because of her budget work.
Her Northland Connections RUN DEEP.
She has beat up Mayor Funky consistently but not with as much contentiousness as the rest of the Council.
So, Mayor Funky is no longer has the upper-hand in the Northland or regarding financial experience . . . This really is starting to get interesting.
Bye Bye Burke, hello SLY!
ReplyDeleteThis news is two years old... at least.
ReplyDeleteDeb would make a good mayor. But what we need now is a GREAT mayor. I hope she considers working with another candidate instead of fracturing the vote.
ReplyDeleteyawn.
ReplyDeleteWhat about other Councilwomen?
ReplyDeleteDeb just likes to cut budgets to cause pain. It is an S&M thing for her.
ReplyDeleteThe simple truth of the matter is that an uneducated, frumpy, short and fairly unattractive woman will NOT be elected to any major office...which is sad considering Albert Riederer will get into this race and probably win.
ReplyDeleteWhoever it is it better not be the Funk.
ReplyDelete1:45:
ReplyDeleteYou forgot mean, grumpy, and not particularly sensitive to the needs or desires of folks south of the river.
We did UGLY (Funky & Squid) didn't like it. Lets move it. No Chaz Hermann.
ReplyDeleteI would be most concerned about Ms. Hermann's unwavering devotion to Troy Schulte. Admittedly, he seems to have a good handle on where the money is, but it's well known that he doesn't have what it takes to make difficult decisions. And many are aware of his propensity to tell/commit to everybody whatever they want; thereby, never having to make a real decision. As much as I like Ms. Hermann, both personally and professionally, her dependence on Mr.
ReplyDeleteSchulte would certainly give me pause regarding voting for her for Mayor.
Deb will give up anybody. She betrayed Funk several times over. I'm not a Funk fan but she seems like a quiet opportunist.
ReplyDeleteHermann is using TKC to test the water. You stupid
ReplyDeleteShe is a spoiler North has finally caused a spllt thats elects Rowlands
ReplyDeleteAlbert Reiderer? talk about gender bias. educated, frumpy, short and fairly unattractive man. That's Albert
ReplyDeleteHe is waffling. If he does not declare by the end of May, then screw him. Either you are in or you're OUT! No prima donnas.
Toadstool be serious. When it really comes down to it Reiderer is better looking than Deb.
ReplyDeleteThink about it.
Wow, Kendrick and Glorioso have been busy today! Deb would make a terrific mayor. If people think she is devoted to Schulte, they don't know her. Deb doesn't cater to any one person or special interest; she cares about the entire city. As for her "fracturing" the vote... how about some lesser candidates stepping down and supporting her!
ReplyDeleteReiderer is so wishy washy he needs to stay out. My gosh does he think we are hanging on his decision. Give me a break. Things are bad but we dont need indecision. Go Mr. James and his commitment.
ReplyDeleteMr. James has not a clue about the way city government works (and at times doesn't work). He needs to start off as a PIAC rep or something, learn the ropes, then run for council. Suing the city does not make one qualified to be mayor.
ReplyDeleteAnon 5:13... from the words of your post, you do not know Deb very well, and you certainly do not know Troy Schulte. He has made tough decisions, is making them, and will continue to make them.
ReplyDeleteGo Deb!
Gloria said F all yall
ReplyDeleteBig Al is coming back now.
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to ask her about all that money she got from Hunt Midwest back in the late 90's to run her little community council of Gracemore. While all the home's foundations and properties were crumbling sinking into the ground from all the blasting underneath the homes, Deb was sitting up at her little neighborhood pool (funded by all this money) and drinking beer at late hours of the night. She and her little groupies went behind other home owners backs and filed a lawsuit and sued Huntmidwest for the blasting that they were doing. She has a clause-several-in this suit with Huntmidwest that allows them to continue for the next 600 yrs I believe, and they get the money to run her community council with this money. No money was EVER given to ANY homeowner that suffered major damages. But I bet her house got a makeover! Real estate agents DO NOT HAVE TO DISCLOSE THIS EXISTING ISSUE to any prospecting buyer. No One knows this exists. Funny how a missing page containing all the financial disclosures of this suit is missing up at the clay county courthouse and KING-HERSHEY will not dicuss it with anyone!
