Let's not forget that Mayor Funky didn't want police bodyguards with him when he was first elected to office.
Then his wife ordered protection from the Latino Community because she was afraid they would "throw hot tamales" at Mayor Funky's staff according to Mammygate depositions.
And then . . . The problem was passed on to the KCPD.

ReplyDeleteHow many of the our previous Mayors have had a police escort? Is this something out of the ordinary? Or, is this perhaps a case of the Mayor he made a mistake by initially refusing to have a police security detail when he first took office? Do Mayors in other major US cities have a security detail as well? If so, are they police officers? What does the police department's public information officer have to say about it??? How about some actual investigative reporting instead of just reporting the latest rumors. Are you waiting for the dreaded "dead tree media" to scoop you on the real story???
