While TKC is more concerned with women's underwear, a local blogger examines Kansas City's gang problem!!!

Today, Logtar puts together an epic post that takes a look at his life and gang activity in the Kansas City area. There are a lot of useful links along with an interesting personal perspective.

And with this post, Logtar has contributed more to the discourse regarding Kansas City gang activity than Mayor Funkhouser given that KC's Mayor came to power in the middle of a local gang war and said nothing about the topic and still remains noticeably mum when it comes to crime in this town.

And all of this reminds me that over the weekend I read that yet another one of my childhood acquaintances has killed under suspicious circumstances that are undoubtedly tied to drugs . . . It's not like the news impacts me or even makes me feel that glum but it reminds me that even in the drug game there's a middle management level at which people become complacent; for my white friends a stalled career means putting on a few pounds and maybe having more kids while it seems that Latinos I knew from the days of way back end up dead when they're caught slipping at a valley in their career. This isn't necessarily a gang problem but yet another indication, as Cheech and Chong so eloquently put it, that "Things are tough all over" and staying interested and paranoid is how TKC stays winning when it comes to my pursuits: blogging, snack cakes and X-box.

  1. I'm sorry. What was this post about? I lost interest after the bikini woman.
