So it's just a matter of time now until the Chiefs announce that Larry Johnson is leaving, traded or jetting off to Vermont to take part in a civil union ceremony with Jay-Z.
No matter what, there is no way the Chiefs are going to pay him the $25 million he's asking for and even though TKC has meticulously documented the fact that he probably needs that money for either gender reassignment surgery or theater tickets . . . Additionally, the fact also remains that he's one of the best running backs in the NFL.
And while I don't think much of his skills in the clutch (ew and NO HOMO) he does put together a lot of yards during (mostly meaningless) regular season play . . . So with another team that actually wants to spend some money to win games, there is a possibility that he could maybe contribute something when he isn't busy dating and subsequently beating blonde, bar skanks . . . Supposedly because they remind him of everything he's not. ("It rubs the lotion on its skin")
Best of luck to him . . .
As for the Chiefs . . . Jack Harry is being way to nice, calling this upcoming season a year of "rebuilding" but it's really just nothing more than the same mediocrity the team and Kansas City has endured for a generation . . . KC's media market, Carl Peterson and the chinsy owners are what is holding this team back . . . I only wish KC voters would have paid more attention to the performance of Kansas City's terrible teams BEFORE they approved BILLIONS worth of tax subsides.
One last thing about Johnson, while asking a ghey guy to "take one for the team" is gross and unlikely . . . It's sad to see that LJ has completely lived down to every stereotype about greedy, the ghey male models and proves to be out for nothing more than a paycheck . . . Also, his loyalty to Herm as a Black coach who "understood" him better than any white guy could is also suspect . . . So he's a liar too. That seems like just the kind a guy you'd be proud to spend 800 bucks on so your kids could cheer for him.
Rock.
