TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! CHAOS ERUPTS IN MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY LAST NIGHT AMID QUADRUPLE ARMED ROBBERY SPREE!!!

Once again our blog community warning about violence in the troubled midtown corridor of Kansas City has been proven correct. Natch.

To wit . . .

OUR TKC BLOG COMMUNITY HAS BEEN REPORTING ON A RECENT SPATE OF KANSAS CITY PROPERTY DAMAGE, VIOLENCE AND ROBBERY THROUGHOUT MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY FROM MAIN ST. TO SOUTHMORELAND AND HYDE PARK FOR MONTHS AND NOW NEAR RIOT CONDITIONS BROKE OUT LAST NIGHT!!!

A map of the crime spree . . .

Like it or not, KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS tell us that this might be related to crime displacement from the Plaza that has now moved into surrounding neighborhoods but thankfully pushed out of the nearby entertainment district. Remember that not so long ago police were forced to roundup a violent group of youngsters in roughly the same vicinity.

Ergo . . .

MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY IS NOW UNDER SIEGE AS A WAVE OF VIOLENCE SEEMS TO HAVE SET IN FOR THE SUMMER AND CREATED ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS AND DIVERSE VIOLENT HOT SPOTS IN TOWN!!!

Like it or not, this crime spree is also within walking distance to the new proposed streetcar extension which is important inasmuch as City Hall leadership continues to focus on a development agenda rather than confronting brutal reality on Kansas City streets.

  1. It's always darkest before the dawn.

Let's not give up on Midtown just yet. There is a lot more to accomplish in that part of our city. Better still, residents might consider that a streetcar would increase police patrols and offer an incentive to protect KC's investment in the area.

Crime is a serious problem and we can combat it not only with police but also with providing jobs and pride to the community.

  3. Not great news for summer real estate season and the home show coming up.

  5. 5:30, your comment that the presence of a taxpayer funded boondoggle might bring about more police protection is a great example of all that is wrong with the Sly James administration. Why fix a problem with an increase in the number of cops when you can fix it with an increase in the number of cops AND have a new toy!

  6. But it was only yesterday that a comment was posted that claimed all the Cerner employees who will be working at the new billion-dollar-subsidized campus will be living in mid-town because it's such a in place to be.
Yes, robberies, car break-ins, beat downs, and all the rest are just p[arts of the exciting KCMO urban experience and sacrificing your quality of life and that of your family is worth every bit of it.
Most of those employees will live in Johnson County and commute each morning on I-435 eastbound and in very light traffic. They'll be looking for safe neighborhoods, good schools, and quality public services and will be heavily using the "empty" roads that commentors on this blog keep whining about being empty and subsidized.
    How's Mike's new hotel coming?

  7. People with the resources will do anything to get away from the dysfunction that black people cause. I saw the 41 news last night and the gangs of blacks on the Plaza are still there by the thousands on Saturday night. The cops have arrested 30 people for curfew violations. That will do nothing to stop the violence and destruction that is coming, once again, on the Plaza.

    Just move.

Another once great area, lost to the "Culture War" and Liberals who insist, that we honor "Diversity" and "Multiculturalism" as a strength when everyone up to and including Winston Smith knows that war is NOT peace, freedom is NOT slavery and the Main Stream Media and the lying cocksuckers in the press are NOT telling the truth.

I am still dead, in a black on white HATE CRIME, that everyone has forgotten, because I am white.

  8. I blame those pesky Mennonites and Amish 5:51. Who knows how many live around there?
We are just kidding ourselves when we want to talk about "employment" and better education. If you were hiring, how many of these minority idiots would you like to have? If they don't care about education, why should anybody else?
Our country is going to die of political correctness, and it is the law abiding, gainfully employed citizens who are going to be the first to expire. I am tired of all the "studies" that show that it is my fault for everyone else's shortcomings.
The tax paying, volunteering, law abiding citizens are not doing this. We are setting examples but seem to just wear a big "sucker" sign on our backs. Just had to vent this morning because I am fed up with "understanding", political correctness and forced generosity through higher taxes. Until these law breakers and problem makers figure out that their behavior is not paying off, it will continue. So far, they are making out like ...... bandits.

  9. 5:30 -- What Kansas City needs is a better class of residents. (Oh wait ... they didn't disappear. They just moved to Johnson County)

  10. "Let's not give up on Midtown yet". I moved to Midtown in 1979. That was the place to be, the up and coming area. I would think that 37 years is long enough. My advice, give up and move. Find someplace where you are a citizen, not a mark.

  11. You are crazy to be in any of those places at all, much less after 5PM. Any damn fool can see there is no longer a 'crime core' to KCMO. The whole apple is poisoned with hoodrot.

  12. Build a police station. That will solve everything.

The police are heroes. You can't doubt the effectiveness of KCPD. You have to believe and perpetuate the lie. Like there is a God, although all the evidence refutes that. Police are heroes although all the evidence refutes that assertion. Sink more money into programs, buildings, etc. and crime will go away because of job availability...but the evidence refutes that. Just keep believing what you're told not the evidence already before you. All aboard on the toy train to no jobs or economic development and 18th Vine to a empty jazz District! Toot! Toot!

  15. Police can't be on every street corner but they can respond to crime. But I forget, if you dial 911 you get a busy signal. Even if you get thru the cops are probably running a DUI checkpoint so you wait an hour.

  21. Dont worry.... "We know we have correctly identified the people who are responsible for the majority of Kansas City’s violent crime" Boy I feel much safer already.

  22. So, tell me why are their fewer police on the streets this year?

  23. "We know we have correctly identified the people who are responsible for the majority of Kansas City’s violent crime"

    Well, isn't that special.

So, why haven't you arrested them? Or is your plan just to give them a stern talking to?
