TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY POLSINELLI POWER BROKER PETE LEVI LEADS LOBBY TO OUTSOURCE KANSAS CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT JOBS!!!

First and before any other media outlet in Kansas City . . . We've got the SCOOP on how Mayor Sly, the City Council and some of the MOST POWERFUL PEOPLE IN ALL OF KANSAS CITY are working to privatize that Kansas City Fire Department one step at a time...

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY INSIDERS INFORM US THAT KANSAS CITY MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE AND POLSINELLI KINGPIN PETE LEVI LEADS THE LOBBY FOR THE CURRENT KCFD OUTSOURCING PUSH!!!

A quick peek @ the EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE Pete Levi resume should reveal why this is a big deal. He's a former Greater KC Chamber of Commerce Prez and basically one of this town's highest corporate bosses.

So . . . Good luck KCFD . . . This DUDE DOES NOT PLAY AROUND . . .

Another fun fact ...

So far the newspaper is offering only paltry Twitter coverage of this slapfight with no room for public discussion or comment but the latest development is worth a look . . .

Last week Councilman John Sharp was able to stall and send this thing back to committee for a few weeks.

Now . . .

MAYOR SLY AND CITY COUNCIL HAVE CONSPIRED TO STEP UP THE OUTSOURCING MOVE TO NEXT WEEK!!!

We've got SO MUCH stuff on this was we'll just throw this out here as food for thought . . .

THE COMPANY THAT CITY HALL WANTS TO USE TO OUTSOURCE KANSAS CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT JOBS WAS DUMPED BY DALLAS!!!

That's just the beginning of this shady deal that the Mayor is having trouble justifying...

Behind the scenes . . .

KANSAS CITY INSIDERS FEAR THIS IS PART OF A BIGGER MOVE TO PRIVATIZE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PIECE BY PIECE AND CITY WORKERS WOULD TAKE THE HARDEST HIT FIRST!!!

This local scandal is about more than just a few FD jobs and big picture features Mayor Sly and Council Lady Cindy also doing a bit of a double cross on their FD base of support.

Of course, you heard about all of this FIRST on TKC while Dead Tree Media lives the good life in JoCo. Natch.

Developing . . .

  2. I'm sure that they would leave the fire mafia alone if they only agreed to get rid of those silly fire trucks and move to something more progressive like fire streetcars.

  4. The coffers are flush.

Let's send more City Hall tax dollars to insider lobbyists and lawyers to break our promises to the MAST employees and to bust these unions.

  5. Sly's a pussy. Has to hire a mouthpiece to fight against John Sharp.

If you're gonna pick a fight Mayor, at least have the balls to do your own dirty work.

  6. Just another example of "monkey see, monkey do" under the leadership, or lack thereof, of Mayor Sylvester James. Not one ounce of creativity, or competence, stemming from City Hall. Mr. James has got to be one of the worst Mayor's this City has ever had. For a man who claims to have so many accolades under his belt, he sure is a disappointing example of a leader. A Black penis does not a leader make. It seems this is the sole qualification for leadership in politics right now. This Mayor isn't that great as an attorney or Mayor. There are no accomplishments under this Mayor. A repeat of this circus can not prevail.

  7. Maybe a meteorite will veer off course and pulverize the West Edge Polsinelli building and rid KC of this curse once and for all.

Are you reading this NSA? Take the fucking hint.

Problem with the over simplification of issues, is that to hate on Sly all the time, you have to make arguments for John Sharp.

Anyone, and I mean anyone, who has encountered Sharp on any matter in City Hall knows full well that he is a POS, but a POS that is extremely effective in advancing his own interest at the expense of others.

To "get it" you have to understand electeds and issues at a greater depth than the flash posts that Tony throws up here in order to generate internet noise. Sorry, but a point of view slapped on to a web page that panders to misogyny, race baiting, and "anonymous" cum posts by a white bear are not likely to hit the mark.

Oh, and here is how to make money at home via the internet.

  10. The peter in my Levi's is also very powerful.

  11. We need to be outsourcing KCPD not the fire department. KCPD is costing the city millions and millions. It can onlu get better for citizens.

  12. In KCMO city government, decisions are NEVER about what's best for the residents. It's ALWAYS about insiders and money.
If you just keep that in mind, you'll never be surprised or disappointed.
The electeds are little more than water-carriers for other people's ideas and income-producing schemes. The unfortunate residents and businesses in the city are just there to provide the money for others' dreams.
Keep increasing the sales tax and keep those property taxes and e-tax monies flowing. The trough's beginning to run a little low.

  13. I got it KCFD, get rid of the ambulance service. Make it a seperate city department under the control of people who actually know how to run an EMS Service.

  14. don't worry when the"E" tax is voted out in 2016 we will putting out our fires

  15. Sly's working from Wash DC playbook. Keep shit stirred up so he can get away with his pet projects. Getting rid of basic services to fund high profile projects. How much are we paying these lawyers?
Why doesn't he just get over himself and outsource the fire dept to India. When your house is burning maybe Scott or Wendy from New Delhi can help.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeah, isn't Posenelli a city contractor? How is that right?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Don't forget that Levi was the last president of the Chamber of Commerce right before Heeter.
He knows where whose bread is buttered!

  18. Didn't they get a huge TIF deal on the Plaza...... Like a hundred million or something.

  19. I know for fact, City's attorneys are idiots and they need outside lawyers to win nearly any case.

  20. I am so glad i live in a city in johnson county that is far better managed than kcmo. Its just better here. There is money, things are nice, crime is low, no mobs running through the streets.....did i mention the school district?

MUST SEE!!! MORE LAUGHABLY SOURCED KCFD ALLEGATIONS!!! GOT AN AX TO GRIND??? CALL ME!!! NO ALLEGATION TOO BASELESS!!!

  23. So here's the real scoop. Companies are formed that specialize in certain services - such as billing for ambulance services. These companies do 10,000 or 100,000 or a million times more transactions than any municipality would every do. And they do it very efficiently, with well trained people, great customer service, and the very best computer applications and systems. Thus, their unit costs of providing the service are very low, leaving a margin for profit and still saving their customers lots of money. That's just the way things work. Deny this and taxpayers pay their own employees double or quadruple the cost of having a specialty service provider do it. Not fair to tax payers. It is the relentless march of technological progress. Adopt it early. It is inevitable.

  24. Sly and his buds are furnishing CK with stapled-together crap designed to look better than it really was. This is why everyone likes to keep the blinds drawn now so as not to see it all coming apart.

    ReplyDelete
  25. That is a lot of bitching from the fire guys. Hate to see what happens when things get really rough with the budget. Get ready and have fun!

  30. Shut up McGurk.

  31. Very crooked deal. But I'm sure the mayor will slam it home.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sly is proof positive that a firm handshake and a slick shoeshine can get you just about anything in this town.

    See Crispin follow the lead.

Mediocrity is par for the course under a guy who spent decades schmoozing his way to the presidency of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and then milking his lawyer buddies on the way to Mayor.

Sly is the typical corporate whore--a fake progressive who, once elected, gets down on his knees and drinks whatever the corporate anti-union bosses want to squirt in.

Bend over and lube up, KC.

  33. 1049 you should probably do a little research about K.C.P.D. First off your off topic. Now back to the budget regarding K.C.P.D. K.C.P.D has about the same amount of Officer's now as it did in 1968. The Calls for Service have increased four fold. The Kansas City Citizens are getting more work out of the Officers now more than ever. 1049 thanks for listening. The K.C.F.D is a group of hardworking, life saving folks. Why would anyone want to cut the budget of a Emergency Services Organization? I don't know? The question is what's best for the citizen's? Remember MAST. Mast was perhaps one of the finest Paramedic Organizations ever. Mast not only picked up and medically serviced taxpayers but MAST picked up all the hundreds and literally thousands of drugged and drunk up non taxpayers off the street. Every time the do gooder citizen sees some guy drunk in the street who do they call. 911. The Police and the Fire Dept go and haul the drunk to the hospital. Who pay's for it? The drunk doesn't. K.C.F.D. transports everyone whether they pay or not. How do you operate a business when half the clients don't pay their bills? Everytime one of the arrest's ask for medical care when they are under arrest who gets called? The K.C.F.D. The arrest's run hard and party and when they get caught they use the jail and hospital's like a five star hotel. The do gooders don't under stand and they never will. When you swim you get wet. The do gooders are afraid to jump in and swim but they stand on the side lines and tell everyone else how to swim. God Bless the K.C.F.D. and the K.C.P.D. and all the staff from the bottom all the way to the top.

  34. @450. I feel like singing God Bless America but I won't. Yes, FD and PD do all those things mentioned but they also get paid well. Unlike PD, KCFD staffing has increased. PD is held to their budget but FD is like a bottomless money put. No matter how much you give them they need more! Also, while PD's calls have increased, modern building codes have drastically reduced fire related calls. Yet, the FD continues to staff as if money is unlimited. The FD is taking money from other needy services because they keep busting their budget. Fire Paul Berardi if the budget blows again this year!

  35. 926, you are a moron! Starting at a huge 13 dollars an hour is a lot of money to you? You must be one of those 15 dollar a hour hamburger flippers. Don't let the grease splash burn your hand. You know how the PD and FD works so well. You must be wanting a city council job. If you got passed up by the PD and FD because you can't spell your last name doesn't mean you have to bash them. Can I get 2 packets of ketchup please?!
