It's getting ugly from what we hear and it features the mayor talking trash on the FD while everybody else wonders why every dime of this town's cash is dedicated to the toy train.
Rather than hide on Twitter, it's important to bring this discussion out into the open...

ReplyDeleteThe Freedom Inc. pastors are worried about a few billing jobs, but what they really should be looking into is all the nepotism in the Fire Department's hiring of fire fighters. The Fire Department doesn't even remotely resemble the community it serves, and that's because there are so many relatives working there.
ReplyDeleteMy house almost caught on fire and these guys absolutely were superb in response time and the action they took. Not to mention they looked hot as fire in their get-ups. Give them all the money they want, especially for the fire gear and sessy axes.

KCMO doesn't have an actual city government that addresses the needs of the residents.
It's a taxpayer concierge service. And tipping IS allowed.
What are you guys talking about. Fire doesn't want the billing office, they refused to put them in the union, and forced them on 500. This is all John Sharpe trying to hang on to his baby, that he was fired from after blowing all the cash.

They can call them great employees all they want to avoid employee backlash, but many of them were educated in the kcmo school district and cant find their ass with both hands. When the finance committee figures out that they were just thrown a bunch of bullshit, they will be back....quick. Ed Ford...wise up and get out of the ring with John Sharpe, you are going to look like fool.
Everybody wants to know why John Sharp is hell bent on saving the billing office? Does he have close personal relationships with the fomer MAST billing employees? This is really hard to understand! Why would he make this so personal with his colleagues?

ReplyDeleteKCMO Fire Department, God I remember the good old days when they held their breathe over a contract and walked right off the job. Suddenly very suspicious fires began all over town. A lumber yard burned for a week. The police at one point manned the trucks and the hoses. KCMO fireman are dirty lowdown bastards when they don't get their way. Look at their history from past strikes. They are evil.
