TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY DOWNTOWN AREA REAL ESTATE SELL-OFF AMID PLANS FOR AN "OBAMAVILLE" PROJECT!!!

During this holiday season, the faith of Downtown Kansas City homeowners is being put to the test.

To wit . . .

THERE SEEMS TO BE A DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY AREA REAL ESTATE SELL-OFF FOLLOWING PLANS TO PUSH FORWARD WITH AN "OBAMAVILLE" IN THE PROXIMITY OF THE CROSSROADS!!!

Before anybody else . . . TKC revealed plans of this development along with meetings pushing the project forward.

To be fair, there is a bit of excitement from supporters of this plan who believe it will improve the conditions of a blighted school building that's a legacy of public school FAIL.

On the other hand, Kansas City real estate insiders acknowledge that an "Obamaville" complex filed with subsidized housing and social service agencies is a hard sell for neighbors.

TKC Fact: A house near the complex that sold for around 3/4 of a mil has LOST ALMOST HALF OF ITS VALUE following the Kansas City Westside/Crossroads Obamaville announcement. This sell-off might be a buying opportunity or it could represent the smart money pulling up stakes before disaster strikes.

And so we ask . . . WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE? Will the Obamaville near the Crossroads fix the problem of a blighted area OR will the place simple make a bad situation worse?

DEVELOPING . . .

  1. You are right on one point Tony. This could be a buying opportunity.

  2. Will any of the new buildings have planes on top of them?
That should stabilize area property values!
    Right, T?

  3. Buying opportunity? I think not.

  4. Anything with that clown's name attached turns to shit. If I owned anything in the area id bail. Only thing worse would be a Cleaverville.

  5. This will destroy the neighborhood. HUD housing will be the end of the crossroads.

  6. Tony couldn't live in the housing. You have to show proof of income. For all your chatter about subsidized housing why does no one call you out as a parasite on your family. I'm done with this blog and I am done with the opinions of a leach that does nothing but continue to fulfill a non contributing life. When your diabetes kicks in maybe Obama will pay your bills because we know your to lazy to get a job and then mu tax dollars an my insurance will be stuck covering for your disgusting health and total lack of income.

  7. I love reading the speech about being "done with your blog" from some pain in the ass noob. Seems like I read it every week.

But be careful T, I think your mom might have written this post and that would mean you might have to make an application to live in that dump. I bet they don't have wi-fi.

  8. All of America will become "Obamaville".

Welcome to the Welfare Nanny State

  10. Calm down bitches. They don't even have one major funding source secured. They would be better off turning this lot into a landfill.

  11. 10:26 - It WILL be a landfill if they do as planned.

  12. I thought the devaluation of real estate on the West Side was due to the plane. Who knew there was more than one blighting influence at play?

  13. The term "Obamaville" is derived from the original "Hooverville". You shouldn't need to be an historian to figure out the symbolism.

  14. No worries. If it's like every other redevelopment project undertaken by BNIM and/or the City, they'll still be looking for funding in 15 years. Just think Citadel, MLK Village, Beacon Hill, Columbus Park- just for starters. By the way, I wonder how this project jumped in front of those?
