TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! EVEN MORE ONLINE VIDEO DEPICTING KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI SCHOOL DISTRICT VIOLENCE !!! CHAOS ERUPTS AT PASEO ACADEMY ONCE AGAIN!!!

The downward spiral of Kansas City institutions, like our schools, is far more important than the petty political power plays of last night. To wit . . .

Another video featuring chaos in the Kansas City, Missouri School District has surfaced thanks to AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS!!!

This video is an altogether different clip than previous images that TKC highlighted which inspired questions from mainstream media. It's even more frightening than the last time and features what looks like a full on riot one of the KCMSD schools.

SERIOUSLY, THE SAFETY OF STUDENTS AND TEACHERS AT PASEO ACADEMY MUST BE ADDRESSED BY SUPERINTENDENT COVINGTON AND THE SCHOOL BOARD!!!

But more important than my ranting are the opinions of smarter voices, involved in The District. Here's what they note. Check it:

"This problem is very simple to solve from a true managerial perspective. Paseo should have 2-3 security guards and at least 1 VP on each floor at all times. All students and classrooms should be within the sight of a VP or security guard at all times. If any students are in the hall without passes at any time, put them in in school suspension for 3 days on the spot. Add more VPs with their offices actually on the floors they are responsible for so that discipline referrals can be processed within 60 minutes instead of having students sitting in the office all day long. Every classroom should have at least one administrator poke his/her head in each 15 minutes. If a student needs a pass to the restroom or anywhere for that matter, they must be escorted by a staff member. Paseo should go on total lockdown and stay that way until the end of the school year.

With this new support, show of force, and quicker processing, start disciplining students for the behaviors that lead to fighting and chaos such as defiance of authority, profanity, name calling, horseplay, skipping class, running, texting in school, etc. If students got 3 days of ISS on the spot for profanity and the behaviors I just listed, you would have far less fights..if any.

This is the true meaning of "zero tolerance", not countless speeches and meaningless warnings to the students via intercom.

A strong security and administrative presence coupled with a quick processing of referrals will change the tone of that place very quickly. After over 35 years in education, I can tell you that this is the missing piece of the puzzle that KCMSD has needed for the last 3 decades. Put the people in place to establish order with all deliberate force and speed and the school will be a resounding success.

* The "right sizing" plan reminds me of the Iraqi Invasion of 2003. Looked good on paper, but the full ramifications of merging populations from different tier schools was not considered.

* Dr. Covington receiving the Best Administrator reward reminds me of Bush declaring Mission Accomplished in 2003 and Obama receiving the Nobel Peach Prize in 2009. Very, very, very premature.

* The videos that we are seeing from KCMSD schools remind me those horrible videos from the insurgency that revealed how poorly planned the war was.

* What Dr. Covington needs to do now is borrow a page from George W. Bush in 2007. Declare an educational version of the Iraq War Troop Surge and fill the halls with security guards and vice principals until those halls are quiet, orderly, and safe and keep them there. It sure beats trying to explain to the press how students are being beaten in the halls and why his Transformation Plan resulted in more schools failing to make AYP."

  1. Tony, also note that they are over a month behind in hiring a Repurposer for the albatross buildings. I am sure they are paying for consultants to delay it.

  2. These are the same kids "hanging out" on the plaza.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Welcome to Zimbabwe High...

    ReplyDelete
  4. Repurposer? Haven't you guys heard the rumor that Covington/West/Rea and crew have approved payment to a Maddie Rhodes Board member to study the buildings? I hear they are paying her 700k. I just refuse to believe that this is true. I hope this is a nasty rumor.

    ReplyDelete
  5. 8:47 ~And you wonder why tkc isn't blasting that news from one of his "kickass tipsters" simple beans of a feather flock together no corrupt here move along.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Zimbabwe High... lolzerz.
Maybe KCMO should shell out for some more African drums, that would get those little hooligans in line.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Was this a clip from KCTV's new KC Zoo Show?
Covington just won a major award for his role as superintendent? You simply can't make this stuff up!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. 9:21: 8:47 said it was a rumor. Hopefully if it is true it will get a LOT of publicity.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Maybe National Guardsman in full metal jacket could be put on duty there.

    What else there to do?

    ReplyDelete
  10. The whole thing was phony... clearly high school kids need recess and it should be outside where it's cold.

That'll cool it. Same girl who shot it did most of the yelling.

Zimbabwe High... that was good. Show this all over Kansas City to employers and those girls won't even get jobs at McDonalds.

Hire MEXICANS, not blacks! Wanna get even? Start the rumor that says the Republicans will cancel AFDC!

    ReplyDelete
  11. So, 8:47, does Marilyn Simmons still work for Ajamu Webster's frim, DuBois Consultants? And are they still a KCMSD contractor?

    ReplyDelete
  12. What does Ms. Simmons have to do with this? Even if she is employed by the firm, I guarantee the firm does not have a no-bid, $700k contract. Ms. Simmons never has and never will be involved in the level of corruption that apparently is going on now at the District. She needs to keep voting "no" for Covington's nonsense. I do know for sure that Covington paid a contractor nearly $1 milllion, with Board approval, before ANY work was performed. For proof, look at the August and September Board Items online. This is against the law in Missouri. Everyone who voted "yes" should be removed from office. It is rumored that part of that money went to a local, non-profit that has been raping the District for years.

With regard to the repurposer, I heard the same rumor. Supposedly it happened at last week's Board meeting during closed session. Those minutes are supposed to be public 3 days later. I will request the minutes and let you all know if the rumor about the repurposer is true.

    ReplyDelete
  13. What happened to the $50 million savings from the "right sizing plan"?

When will the Board review the Superintendent's performance?

    ReplyDelete
  14. If they don't straighten up Kwanza Claus won't bring them any freebies.

    ReplyDelete
  15. 8:47: I sure hope it isn't some inside cooking at Mattie. If it is Harbinger Property Group and Meraz then they clearly have an issue with Crispen as a Mattie employee. Kickbacks, bribes and favors... Same old story at KCMSD.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sounds to me like those of you who are suggesting illegal activities need to call the authorities and/or serious reporters and get this stuff out into the light of day and get it stopped and get some people on their way to jail.

If you don't have the goods, and have no suggestions on improving the success of the kids in school so they can be productive citizens, then I think you need to SHUT THE FUCK UP!

The election's over. Now let our elected people get on with the business of governing. Don't be startin the next campaign now.

If the Republicans think they can spend the next 2 years unseating Obama... which is what Mitch McConnell said the other day, well I'm not sure we're all going to be so polite now.

So either call the cops, state your name and go on the record, or shut up!

I'm tired of this shit. I'm tired of YOU!

    !@#@!#$

Tony, nothing is gonna happen! Well, The only thing that will happen is students will have to turn in their cell phones to the office when they enter school and reclaim them when they leave for the day.

    ReplyDelete
  19. tMost of the comments about KCMsd are not factual. I worked for KCMSD I never saw Ms. Simmons try to influence a contract with the District. That's what I did work with contractors/vendors.

I'm sure there are some discipline problems, but there not as great as Tony would have us believe. If you want to see real problems between African- American students and Hispanic students go to Cristo Re.

One final note none of the charter schoolsin the District are doing as well as KCMSD and that includes the Taj Mahal, University Academy.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Radioman..I know you will find this hard to believe because I could not believe it myself. I tried to report KCMSD corruption to Jeff City. I was told by the AG's office that their office does not investigate allegations related to the miscondut of local School Boards. The AG's office suggested reporting it to DESE. I called DESE and they said it is the responsibility of the Board to police itself and its Superintendent. Crazy, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I can't believe I agree with Radioman on something. If the allegations about the $1M payment and the $700K no-bid contract are true, by all means tell us the details.

A LOT of media folks read this blog, and, like Radioman says, the election is over, and they have space to fill. I'm sure they'd love a good juicy corruption story.

Of course, if you don't know what you're talking about, you're wasting everyone's time--including your own.

One thing, though, Radioman, if you're "tired of this shit" and tired of people who post on the blog, there is a solution. No one forces you to come here and read the blog or the rants. You're here by choice.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The proof is in the pudding if west rea etc did hire rea's boses at mattie rhodes then I expect tkc's kick ass tipsters to be the first to break the news on TKC since he was so interested in Ms. Simmons' allege corruption its only natch to expect fair and balanced reporting. In realty tacos run to together and tony is happy as long as mexicans are getting the money blacks used to get.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, THAT was certainly informative, 2:05 #2.

    ReplyDelete
  24. May I assume from the deafening silence about the rumor 8:47 mentioned and the scandals 10:09 "guaranteed" were true that these people are full of crap and should be ignored?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I didn't say I was tired of everyone posting in the room, I said I was just tired of HIM!

I see no reason why I shouldn't participate if HE's the only problem and I pretty much said as much.

It's okay to agree with Radioman; most people do from time to time. Occasionally I do say something that makes sense.

Thanks for the positive feedback. There's not much positive feedback in ANY of these comments on here. Grin.

I'll say I'm really glad the election's over...and I hope the handlers will go back to their boring, regular lives for at least a year. So much cool stuff to talk about bsides candidate bad habits, bad hair, and bad choices.

Course I'm aware that those things are the only reasons why the handlers even come IN here... to talk shop.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think it is hilarious that a guy who goes under the phony name "Radioman" calls someone out for not using his real name here.
    You first, Greg!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Cristo Rey is a great school. Sounds like KSMSD hanger-on angst when Ms. Simmons' people try to deflect. There are pictures and video to prove what we knew was happening in the hallways of the last remaining KCMSD schools.
Too late anony 1:14pm, the cat is out of the bag.

  28. what the hell is wrong iwth our youths today. Seriously sad to see this and stick them in juvie if need be. Apparently they aren't receiving any guidance at home.

    ReplyDelete
  29. none of the inner city kids get guidance from their broken homes. It is a vicious circle, they get pregnant as teens, never marry, have multiple kids from different daddies, daddies in gangs, and prisons, and everyone with their hand out voting democrat.Rev cleaver, and the justice brothers sharpton and jackson why don't you preach that from your pulpits, instead of blaming all of your woes on whitey???

  30. This is not a new video. It is the third video that went missing later in the day of the original post.

    That is categorical.

Had this video been available to Black Parents in the 60s, and they were convinced that this would be the state of black culture, and education just 50 years hence, they would assume that Imperial Wizards from the Ku Klux Klan had taken charge of public education and distributed drugs and alchohol to all black students.

The idea that black parents of that time, would countanance, condone and excuse this cultural cacophony of cretonis chaos is crazy. They wouldn't.

After truly great Black men, gave their lives for civil rights and equality in this nation, that inheritance hs been squandered, that courage has been diminished, that dream has died.

That dream dies every day with the recitation of the "Narrative".

The narrative that excuses this type of atavistic, aborigianl, anti-social behaviour.

The usual scum bags, Jesse et al, circling the white guilt garbage scow like starving seagulls, make bank on their customers. Their customers are now, and have been for 40 years , hypmotized by sanke oil fucks who have told them they are not good enough, smart enough without handouts and free money.

The time has come and gone to try and save these cretins from any fate other than what they deserve.

Shit jobs, shit lives and shit futures.

    Fuck it.

Starve in the streets. They do it in India.

You know India, right? Its where all of our jobs have gone.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I was told that they had a "NEW" principal and he is a real disciplinarian. So much for that being right.

    ReplyDelete
  32. There are an awfully lot of rumors and "I heard thats" in the endless list of comment on this post. It's too bad that so many hangers-on have lost their spots at the trough after all the years of feasting, and it's not surprising that they're trying to do everything to discredit the current administation. The Old Guard lost the last election and they're no longer able to continue to make believe they're important by bringing the taxpayers' bacon home to their friends.
Look at the east side. Does that strike you as the results of successful programs and policies? Look at the hundreds of kids in KCMO that aren't well-enough educated to get decent jobs. Is that the kind of succes that the former school boards want to take credit for?
Other than personal gain, why would would anyone want to keep doing what's been done in and to the black community?

    ReplyDelete
  33. SOS so the answer is to funnel money to the Mattie Rhodes center? How is matching and surpassing the corruption on the eastside any better? No bid contracts to cronies and bosses? Is this what we voted for? Schools that are truly out of control? Yet propaganda like TKC choosing which stories to cover? Ms. Simmons's folks got a building for a 1 lease and it was front page Nuclear explosion on this site. Yet not a peep when his hombres get corrupt deals? And you wonder why?

    ReplyDelete
  34. 8:37pm anon
Unlike you apparently, I really don't view TKC as a legitimate source of actual factual news. This is a blog full of crap that's designed to incite lots of comments, and the stories are chosen at the whim of the blogger. It's "important" because Tony has decided to include it and spin the story to suit his own prejudices, which are apparent to even the most casual reader.
If some type of no-bid contract was let to Mattie Rhodes and the normal processes and decision making rules weren't followed and if one of the KCMSD board members has a conflict of interest, then I would suggest making that information available to both the legitimate media and legal authorities.
TKC is a fun place to shoot off our mouths, express whatever opinions we want regardless of the facts, and make assertions and allegations about others and their motives, but it's not a very effective place to try to get to the truth.

  35. Just a nice insight here - Airick is giving up Crispin rather quickly.

  36. West where is the money?11/4/10, 2:41 AM

Airick doesn't want to be investigated for stealing the money for his BE1 campaign so he is giving up Crispin. What a rat.

  37. SOS has it right. Those who deal in innuendos need to provide facts. Everything else is bullshit.
