Almost as important as images of Alice Goodwin . . . This week the best thing TKC did was help bring the topic of student safety to the forefront of the public discourse with encouragement from the bags who read this blog.
Make no mistake . . .
THERE CAN BE NO PROGRESS IN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI PUBLIC SCHOOLS UNTIL THE SAFETY OF TEACHERS AND STUDENTS IS ASSURED!!! AND DESPITE SO MUCH PROPAGANDA . . . VIOLENCE IS STILL A PROBLEM IN THE KCMSD!!!
Sadly, school officials only attempted to spin this fact and won't comment directly . . . Still, credit to REAL JOURNALISTS who did the heavy lifting while the information and visuals which sparked the story started on this blog. Natch.

With the levels of crime, violence, and murders in KCMO, why would it be a surprise the same level of chaos is occurring in the schools.
ReplyDeleteAnd until the violence is addressed, the KCMSD enrollment won't increase, the population south of the river will continue to decline, there'll be no economic development or jobs on the east side, and downtown won't go much of anywhere.
So, whose priority list is public safety on the top of?

ReplyDeleteNothing ceases to amaze me more than the indignancy of the petit-bourgeois against the lower class -- especially by the ones who are uppity just because they own a computer linked to the internet!
ReplyDeleteSuddenly we're concerned about the safety of teachers and students. Just a few weeks ago we were defending the same thugs wilding on the Plaza, pushing girls wearing prom dresses into the fountain.

Fingers crossed that someone will investigate Airrick West reportly conned folks out over a half million dollars Be1kc .this money could have kept another school or two open,hired more teachers,provided activities feed the poor. Get the drift. Resign investigate go to jail West.

ReplyDeleteHow can they possibly think they can do better than the self-appointed loudmouths who have been taking advantage of the black community for years? Why just look at all the successes on the east side. We've rehabbed two houses for only $1 million; we've torndown some houses and left an empty field at Citadel Plaza and spent only $17 million for that.
We've done a great job at 18th and Vine. Not many people actually visit, but we managed to spend lots of tax dollars.
Who do these new young people think they are?
It can't happen soon enough!
