A quick summary of the sitch . . .

"Early architectural concepts from the Kansas City Royals and Populous showed the Ice Terrace positioned just behind the center-field wall.

"Revised or alternate renderings caused public concern after some visual updates appeared to omit or alter the ice rink and surrounding Crown Center Square features.

"Hallmark and Royals representatives have stated that specific plans for individual Crown Center attractions are still being finalized as the 85-acre mixed-use development progresses."

And so, all of that should make this season just a bit more fun . . .

"It's ice skating season! The Ice Terrace at Crown Center is officially OPEN ⛸️ KMBC 9's Martin Augustine hit the ice once again this year to help kick off opening day."
