UMKC Kangaroo Condemns Rape Culture Amid Cornell 7 Controversy

One this blog, we've featured activists, Pulitzer winners, conservative scribes . . . And now, it's important to try and understands how university students see this crisis. 

And so . . . Check the apt quote from a city college editorial that attempt to see the big picture and offers worthwhile data . . . 

An investigation is being reopened after a Jane Doe filed a lawsuit alleging she was drugged and raped by seven men for several hours at Cornell University in 2024, with one of the men being her friend.

Doe claimed the university only issued temporary suspensions, and allowed the men to submit essays to “mitigate their conduct.” Cornell denied this claim.

Reading that story gave me a visceral reaction. Seriously, I nearly threw up. 

That same year, while attending UMKC, my best friend was also raped by someone she considered to be a friend.
