Kansas Progressive Emily Blanks Defends Boudoir Pix

Every now and then, it's nice to feel a sense of purpose in Kansas City discourse.

And so we realize that NOBODY could explain this hot mess better than our TKC blog community.

To wit . . .

POLITICO EMILY BANKS UPHOLDS HER PIN-UP PIX DESPITE CAMPAIGN CRITICISM & COMPLAINTS!!!

But it gets better . . .

Local news teased this story but didn't serve up the meat of the narrative . . .

THIS STORY MEANS NOTHING IF ONLINE READERS CAN'T REVIEW SULTRY INSTAGRAM PORTRAITURE CHAMPIONED BY POLITICAL VIXEN EMILY BANKS!!!

And so we'll share the link merely for purposes of online edification, science and political research.

From our vantage . . .

We really like her style and, given that Internets doesn't yet allow for smells, we think she looks great.

And so this controversy might be a tempest in a teapot for some very corny old school voters who might understand that all of this makes their complaints seem petty . . . Here's the news angle and another quote from Ms. Banks . . .

"A candidate for the Kansas House of Representatives is under fire for both her public and private actions.

"Bonner Springs Councilwoman Emily Blanks, who's now running for state representative in Western Wyandotte County, has posted a series of provocative pictures of herself both alone and with other people online.

"A statement on her campaign website says is part of her being "authentic".

"She has no plans to take them down."

In fact . . . She addresses the situation head on her campaign website . . . Check the quote:

"Being true to myself and living my values of authenticity and transparency means I won’t be hiding any part of myself during this campaign. Because of that, my public-personal Instagram will be used against me during this campaign. This includes lies claiming I have an OnlyFans account, which I do not, and have never posted images or videos on it. I have posted a lot about different sides of myself on my personal Instagram, including a series of boudoir photographs. This account has always been public, and will remain public."
