Kansas City Steamboat Arabia Dives Into Unknown Abyss Again

Last month TKC deservedly took flack for disclosing boredom with Steamboat Arabia. 

Today, we'll stipulate that the museum is beloved and will be missed by many. 

Accordingly . . .

 STEAMBOAT ARABIA DOESN'T KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THEIR COLLECTION AFTER THE LEASE ENDS NEXT MONTH!!!

From our perspective that means that there isn't any new location in the works right now and there likely haven't been any offers. 

Despite so much regard for local history, the reality is that the journey through riverboat history is a tough sell. 

 And so, with thanks to TKC readers . . . Here's a word about the sitch . . . 

We know many of you are interested in what happens with the museum in the coming months so here is a brief update with what we know:
 
- The lease ends on Nov. 13.

- We do not know what will happen on Nov. 14. 

- There are several municipalities very interested in partnering with the museum and aware of the time limitations we face.
