Kansas City Pulitzer Winner Snubs MAGA Rally For Marshall

Critics might also snub one of the most esteemed prizes in all of journalism but TKC is honestly impressed with the honor and that's why we read this popular local Substack.

However . . .

We're just not seeing the award winning commentary in this note that seems like it's written by an agony aunt who would rather watch Broadway show tunes than delve into Kansas midterm mudslinging . . .

"He will be in Wichita to boost “one of my favorite Senators,” renowned cookie thief Roger Marshall, who just days ago finally paid the Hutchinson baker and small business owner he stiffed for almost $700 six years ago. This only after his refusal to answer her many previous requests for payment became national news.

"How seemingly at odds, you say, with that same Roger Marshall whose attorneys got women living in poverty who were his former OB-GYN patients jailed for their inability to pay what may have been an illegal 18% interest rate on their debt.

"First, I hope never to hear another word from the gentleman from Sarasota about how pro-family he is. And also first, this is only one of the reasons that the biggest applause line by far at an event for Marshall’s Democratic rival Adam Hamilton in Lawrence last week was about bringing decency back."
