The nicer October weather likely inspired several last minute attendees as, once again, Kansas City's Country Club Plaza hosted progressive protesters en masse.
The theme of the protest was certainly anti-MAGA but there was also quite a bit of opposition against Missouri ballot initiatives as well.
We noticed fewer protesters than the rally back in March BUT the crowd was notable, energetic and even had a few more younger people than the mostly old school gathering last time around.
Because TKC is snarky and skeptical of EVERYONE . . .We didn't notice any of these activists enjoying any of the last remaining offerings that still call the Country Club Plaza home . . . So, sadly, there wasn't much local profit from all of the foot traffic.
Agree or disagree . . . Here's how a local new station reported/promoted the event . . .
"Thousands of demonstrators gathered at Mill Creek Park Saturday for the fourth No Kings protest, calling on people to turn their frustration into action by voting in Novembers elections.
"The rally was part of a nationwide wave of protests. While demonstrators carried signs and voiced concerns about the country's direction, some said the turnout and energy felt different from previous events."
