Kansas City Debates Civil Disobedience Against Bike Lane Proliferation

Recently, we noticed frustration from many denizens of this town's feistiest social media group and a call to action and activism.

Bike lanes taking over so many Kansas City streets seems to spark resistance.

For the record . . .

There as been notable KCMO push back against aggressive bike lane designs. Truman Road organized to rework an imposing bike lane takeover. And East side council members have pretty much kicked bike lanes out of most neighborhoods on the other side of Troost.

Still . . .

This missive and discussion is effective at conveying local dissent . . .

"The bike lane tyrants in this city have gone too far. I would encourage everyone to start parking in the bike lanes whenever they get a chance."

Credit where it's due . . . A moment of doubt in the discussion also emerges . . .

"So are you, OP, wanting people to join you in breaking a law so it makes you feel less guilty? This is a real question as I don't understand the reasoning. Please explain."
