Endless Kansas City Construction Chases Away Wesport Biz

Update on a year of KCMO shutdown that probably serves as a reminder to this party district about how their constant political flexing often comes at a price.

Here's the word . . .

"Construction is still ongoing at Westport Road between Mill Street and Bridger Road, and now a portion of 40th Street between Southwest Trafficway and Pennsylvania Avenue will close for street resurfacing, according to City of Kansas City.

"The city started the resurfacing Tuesday, Sept. 29, and anticipated that the complete mill and overlay of this portion would be finished by the end of the week, although the rain may have delayed when it reopens, No on-street parking will be allowed between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. while crews are active and working.

"In addition to the resurfacing on 40th Street, Mill Street between Southwest Trafficway and the east driveway entrance of Mill Street Station Shops is also closed. This, along with the Westport Road construction, is set to reopen before the end of the year."
