Critics Against Kansas City Chiefs New Stadium Organize Social Media Resistance

They weren't able to "Save The K" so now we notice locals in search of a new hobby . . . In spirit, we agree with them and appreciate the info they share even if it's likely to have very little impact after the midterms . . . Take a peek:

The state of Kansas is promising up to $2.775 billion in public money for the Chiefs' new stadium and the development around it. How does this compare to other NFL stadiums around the country? It's the largest subsidy ever, and it's not even close. Washington Commanders: $1.1 billion, Buffalo Bills: $850 million, Tennessee Titans: $1.26 billion, Las Vegas Raiders: $750 million. Kansas didn't edge past the previous record, it more than doubled it. Sportico calls the state's $1.8 billion stadium share alone "by far the highest public subsidy ever for a major U.S. sports venue".

For context, the Hunt family that owns the Chiefs is worth $24.8 billion, the 12th-richest family in America, according to Forbes. The team itself was valued at $6.2 billion in 2025. Nobody in that family needs a public check to build a stadium.
