Conservative radio host Glenn Beck mistook a stadium speaker cluster for an active sniper tower while attending an NFL game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Post: Beck uploaded a photo to X (formerly Twitter) showing a tarp-enclosed structure in the east end zone. He captioned it by claiming a nearby fan told him it was an "arrowhead sniper tower" used at every NFL game, adding, "Please say it ain't so."

The Reality: Local Kansas City residents, former stadium employees, and Chiefs fans quickly corrected him online. The structure is actually part of Arrowhead’s main stadium sound system.

The Tarp: The enclosure that Beck worried was hiding a sniper is simply a protective weather tarp designed to keep the speaker cluster safe from rain and wind.

While major stadium events do utilize law enforcement and security personnel, the viral structure Beck pointed out was nothing more than audio equipment.
