The newspaper talks crime, punishment and new reporting policy for first responders whilst this kind of journalism often forgets that the vast majority of fire fighters are basically real life heroes who risk their biscuit to save locals every day . . . And even by noting as much . . . We don't discount some historic problems in the organization . . . Check-it: 

"Kansas City firefighters have been convicted of crimes including involuntary manslaughter, felony harassment, assault and DWI. One is doing prison time. The fire chief is demanding more enforcement of city rules."
