"The highway department has announced that it will hold an information session next month to share with residents and commuters what they can expect.
"The long-term closure is set to begin Jan. 11, weather permitting. The eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 will be blocked off from the downtown area to the city’s East Side between Prospect Avenue and Van Brunt Boulevard in Kansas City."
