TKC Reader: Who's Running Against Rev. Hamilton?!? Weaponized Boredom In Kansas

We respect this question from an AWESOME TKC READER because it's clever AND allows us an opportunity to take a quick peek at strategy . . . 

"Reading your blog makes me wonder if there is anybody running against this Hamilton guy?  He gets press everyday with no reference to his competition that I’ve  seen why is that?"

Our answer is twofold . . . 

As we've noted, Rev. Hamilton enjoys GLOBAL NEWS SUPPORT and has already eclipsed his opponent in terms of earned media . . . Even worse . . . Conservative news outlets don't seem interested in giving much coverage to Kansas Senator Marshall BECAUSE HE IS BORING. 

The "woke pastor" attack had potential but Senator Marshall (wisely) didn't want to REALLY get into it and go into any detail about his theological disputes with the Rev.

And then . . . Nobody wins the vacation home debate because it reminds us all that BOTH of these clowns have very little in common with Kansas voters. 

Secondly . . . 

A smart TKC reader noted that "the race is Marshall's to lose" and we couldn't agree more . . .

On paper, a consistent Kansas conservative base and lengthy history of GOP votes should easily send Senator Marshall back to D.C.

However . . . 

There's no denying that times are changing . . . Did we ever think we'd see that day when even conservatives acknowledge that Wichita is now a Democratic Party stronghold??? 

Senator Marshall is right to play it safe . . . If he wins, and he should, it won't be because of anything he has said or accomplished . . . He hasn't offered any original ideas or remarkable leadership ability. Senator Marshall is an incumbent leveraging his campaign on history, demographics and allegiance to the White House. He's the odds on favorite . . .

However . . . 

His strategy is so lackluster, uninspiring, insipid and bland . . . Middle-of-the-road voters might be desperate for a leader with any semblance of a pulse and turn to a mega-church dude with NO EXPERIENCE, NO REAL POLICY VISION and nothing more than a campaign centered around passive aggressive Sunday school manners targeted at the low-info electorate that votes as much on haircuts as anything else.

Luckily, Senator Marshall also has better hair. 

And we share all of this only to demonstrate to readers that we have abundant snark to share regarding the midterms . . . 

What we won't do is ignore MSM sound and fury and try to balance our blogging to accommodate one empty suit vs. another . . . When, in fact, Senator Marshall will likely win this thing by sticking to his strategy of WEAPONIZED BOREDOM and hiding from voters on everything but the safest and most mundane issues.
