Social Media Speculation Rages After Death Of Eric Zahnd

Today's courthouse death in the Northland has ignited a firestorm of trolling and sketchy comments across the local Internets in the absence of any definitive reporting.

For the most part local news has confirmed "an incident" at the courthouse and noted the death of longtime Platte County Prosecutor Eric Zahnd but hasn't provided any context beyond that . . . We expect that we'll soon get a notice about "respect for the privacy of the family" and not much beyond that until the weekend news dead zone kills most questions on the topic. 

In the meantime . . . The FB conspiracies really are getting out of hand. 

A bit more context that local media doesn't mention . . . Anybody who follows Northland political life understands there was a great deal of "political beef" and quite a bit of stress surrounding Zahnd even as he was preparing to step down from this role . . . To be fair, the job of prosecutor involves headaches every day so disputes with colleagues aren't really out of the ordinary.

Conservative talker Pete Mundo is the only new outlet to confirm that Zahnd unalived himself . . .

"On Thursday afternoon, KCTV5 learned that the Platte County Courthouse was closed as law enforcement responded to an incident.
