Show-Me Pollution 'Haze Plan' Pushback

Apropos given that today's heat in the Kansas City metro makes everyone a bit less confident about all of that climate change denial . . . Fun fact . . . Climate is changing, always has been . . . "Missouri environmental advocates are urging state regulators to reject a proposed Regional Haze Plan that they say would weaken efforts to reduce air pollution from coal-fired power plants and protect visibility in national parks and wilderness areas.

"The Missouri Air Conservation Commission is holding a public hearing on the proposal, according to a community announcement. The plan was submitted by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and addresses requirements under the federal Regional Haze Rule, which is intended to improve visibility in protected national parks and wilderness areas affected by air pollution."
