River Market Biz Bashes KCMO Barnacles

The latest parking crackdown complaint and the latest sign that Kansas City and small biz remain eternally at odds . . . 

To be fair, we might feel a bit more sympathy if the same half dozen local bar & restaurant owners didn't constantly run to the MSM with their complaints and engaged in some form of civic activism besides supporting the most clueless outsider candidates for office that either lose or become a hilarious source of embarrassment. 

But I digress . . .  

Here are the basics of a story that is BURNING UP SOCIAL MEDIA and nothing else . . . 

Steve and Letty Stegall own Blue Line Hockey Bar on the corner of Walnut and Missouri Avenue in the River Market. The couple said they’ve dealt with their own personal experiences with the city repeatedly ticketing their cars. They have had Barnacles on their car, and they were recently cited while unloading groceries in the front of their establishment . . . “It’s just destroying the city market,” Steve said. “If you read the Facebook posts, it shows you everybody on there say, ‘I will not go downtown, I will not go to the river market’. The city is single handedly demolishing our lunches.”

On Monday, businesses in the River Market said 'enough' to parking issues that turn off customers and employees.
