It wasn't a serious drama but an indication of RISING NORTHLAND TENSIONS which resulted in Mr. Fricker dropping his reelection bid and wisely scaling back his political profile.

In recent years . . . Prosecutor Zahnd earned a Northland rep for sending EPIC & SCATHING E-MAILS to colleagues and subordinates and that might give the public more insight into his mental state. Friends thought this problem might be solved as Zahnd opted out of the prosecutor job . . . But there is every indication that the stress had taken a horrible toll on the public servant.
